FITCHBURG Maryann (Progin) Goguen, 51, of 121 Westminster Hill Rd.,
died Saturday, November 21, in Leominster Hospital after an illness.

She was born December 30, 1957, in Leominster, daughter of Paul N.
Progin and the late Martha E. (Cosenza) Progin.

She graduated from Leominster High School in 1976. At the age of 5,
Maryann was the mascot for the Joanettes Drum and Bugle Corps and was
active with them until the age of 21, when she moved on to the
Kingsmen Drum and Bugle Corps, with whom she was involved with for
over 35 years as lead soprano and assistant manager.

She was predeceased by her sister, Cindy Griffith. Besides her
father, Paul N. Progin of Leominster, she leaves two daughters,
Kimberly Goguen and Christine Goguen, both of Fitchburg, one brother,
Peter Progin and his wife Joyce, of Leominster, her brother-in-law,
Robert Goguen and his wife Barbara of Gardner, several nieces, great-
nieces, and one great-nephew.

Calling hours will be held Friday, November 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
with a service at 7:00 P.M. in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc
Rd., Fitchburg. Burial will be private in Saint Leo's Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung
Association of MA, 460 Totten Pond Road Waltham, MA 02451.
