RAMD Readers:

Here is a list of all the people nominated for gRAMDies and GRAZZIES
this year. Amazingly, there are 139 people nominated--115 past and
present posters to RAMD and 24 lurkers--a record! However, only 33 of
them have bothered to vote yet. Hey! If you see your name on this
list and you haven't voted yet (or even if you aren't nominated but see
the name of someone you know), email me and I'll send you a ballot.
All of you nominees who *have* voted--thanks!

Just the same, you all have been doing a good job. I now have 45
ballots. Keep it up and we will easily reach the 52-75 ballots I set
for a goal by next Wednesday at 5 PM EDT (2 PM EDT).

Thanks,

Vince Lamb
gRAMDies MC and RAMD Pollmaster

Cool! My brother says "Cool Beans". What the heck does that mean any way? :)

I'm thinking more GRAZZIES (speaking of pissing people off! <g>) are being
awarded than gRAMDies.

Too bad that the people that are honest, forthright and not *too* pc with
their opinions and insights are awarded (eventually) with an award that *you
DON'T want to get*.

If you take the whole thing seriously. I'd like to.. and so many posters
tell me NOT to. It's amazing how MANY are also nominated AND whoring. In one
way or another.

*If* I was to whore.. I'd ask for the thread that includes.. "Has the time
come.." It was a good one.. even if the evos don't like it.

If I was to regret a thing.. it was offending Chuck Naffier. Therefore, I
deserve a GRAZZIE. Other than that.. any other nomination (that includes me)
in that category deserves it.

Heh! I'll continue pissing off certain people.. I have NO problem with that!
:)

It turns out that you are nominated for one category, not two! I must have
mistaken the ll at the end of your name on the tally sheet for two
categories. :-7
Oops!

Oh, your nomination? For the third year in a row, you have been nominated
for Virtual Public Service for email drops.

There are 53 categories for the gRAMDies, of which 50 are for people, their
posts, and their websites. Lee is nominated in 20 of those categories and
Ron is nominated for 16.

}> I think someone is setting me up the gRAZZie...

Three of Lee's are for GRAZZIES, while only one of Ron's is (And *Lee* has
the nerve to say it's Ron' fault! :-)

Yeah, right. Groups.google.com lists your name as being mentioned on RAMD
1290 times since August, while mine is mentioned 490 times during the same
period. It lists you as having posted 458 times, while I've posted 270
times. Nice try, Tickbox, but no cigar.

}:-)

:-P

}Especially Vince Lamb. What a punk!

Oh you *are* talking about me! Hey, see if you can beat me in "Virtual Tour
Guide" and "Best Online Friends", the two categories in which we go head to
head, before you call me a punk. Won't happen unless you vote!

I would love to see the reaction from RAMD in the fall of 97 to my 2000
nomination for Voice of Reason.

That would be fun.

This I can do off the top of my head--Best Definition of Drum Corps and Best

}This is a shock.....

I sent the ballot to you at your VisceraIX account. Check there. Edit it
and send it back.

In fact, over the past 2 weeks, I sent *all* the nominees ballots at the
addresses they used to make the posts they were nominated for. Check your
old addresses. In particular, check any my-deja.com addresses you used.
Chances are that if you posted from a my-deja address, a ballot is waiting
for you there!

There are only 7 GRAZZIES out of 53 categories.  I actually tossed one out last year on the advice of Whitney and Levi.

I haven't even been nominated for one so far (knock on wood) and I've been all of those!
BTW, if you're really concerned about getting an award you don't want, then vote and vote for someone else!  The tiebreakers are set up that way.

Ugh, I still owe Jeff Mitchell a prize for the 1997 RAMD Virtual Symposium.
I actually have it sitting on my kitchen counter. Needs a new jewel box,

Lucky? Elder statesman? Even temperament? I've never known you not to pick
and choose your words carefully Vince. Some (including me) have yet to do so.
I'll get there some day, but my original point still stands.
