I completely agree! I also noticed that Howdy is full of shit yet
again. I looked at every page and found no religous references at all
- certainly no open mocking of God. And nothing racist at all. I too
must thank Dr. Dickhead for pointing me to Shawn's web page though.

I agree.
He plays very well.
At times his tone is a little too airy for my taste, but that Wynton
style of airy tone is typical of the type of horns , mouthpieces and
genre that Hines prefers.
I know that I can outplay this cat, and I would love a chance to play
side by side and welcome any chance to compete against him. A million
trolls can say that I can't cut it on a trumpet buy that don't mean
much. I would care to hear what qualified impartial judges have to
say, not internet trolls with an ajenda.
I welcome the International Trumpet Guild to offer trumpet playing
competitions for adults over age 25.
If they do this, I will compete.
I would love a chance to compete against other adult trumpet playes at
an ITG confrence.
Then and only then would the playing field be level, and then we all
would be able to see who has and who does not have the chops.

Thanks Ron. No it's not out yet. I am waaaay behind schedule. The problem
with doing "self-produced" CDs with such a limited budget, is that the CD
project often has to take a "back seat" to road gigs, musicians on the road
with other bands, etc.
But I'm having a blast getting it done (as long as it takes ...) and

Well, in a jam session is where I excell, not on some studio trax
where I can not afford enough studio time to record what i really want
to.
I hope to one day turn our 30' 40' building into a recording studio,
but up until now we have not had enough funding to be able to do it.
If I had my own studio, you would hear better clips, heck, i don't
think i even have any recordings of me over hte last few years.
Hopefully we will be able to complete a jazz trumpet cd, but so far we
are far from finishing anything.
Soon I will have a new trumpet.
Once I pay it off I will own one of the finest trumpets ever made.
When I get my hands on that lovely vintage Conn 1928 28 B you are
rally gonne love the way that I sound on it.
Also I have many new mouthpieces, includong a Callet Vari cup 3 , you
are gonna love the way it sounds on legit stuf, plus you will be
hearing me play vintage Conn cornets like the circus bore, the conn
questedor and two New Wonder cornets, one an early gold plated one,
plus a silver Conn Limited.
All this plus the Eddie Calvet New Creation Besson 462 , along with
the addition of the flugebone.
I am currently playing at least seven different horns in each of my
concerts and or public performances(I usaually only play around 4
different horns each Sunday at Bethesda).

If I remember correctly Via Dolorosa was recorded in 1999.
I do not even play on that horn or that mouthpiece anymore.
But I am still going to leave via dolorosa up these because music
ministers and sr pastors like how it sounds, and it helps us book
gigs.

Memphis is a LONG drive from Athens.
I am not much of a legit player, I am a lead player, a freelance
soloist, a Zappa of the trumpet world, I am also on rare occasions an
ultra high note specialist, a jazz player but most oft I am a player
of Christian music.
Symphonic music is not my thing, but I sure can get a sweet legit

(For the most part) I am playing the traditional Sandy Patty solo.
I like the way that it came out.
I would'n mind re-recording it on the circus bore cornet which could
allow me to play with a more mello expressive tone.

To get the best sound you need the best horn, the best mouthpiece, the
best lead pipe, the best player,the best playing conditions, the best
mic, the warmest board, and a long list of other things that I could

of them do.
Most churches want the flugelhorn, the cornet, softer trumpets , the

I once played in the local big band, and I have been asked to play in
the Cleveland, TN community band. The biggest obsticle to these type
of gigs is the wifie, who don't like me playing in semi pro community
type of gigs.

I think the "terrorist threat", much like "24", is largely hyped-up
fiction, only far more blown out of proportion. Terrorists have been
around for decades, and so have nukes. Sure, they might get their hands
on one, someday, maybe tomorrow or thirty years from now, but so what?

Please, as a human being and fellow drum and bugle corps alumni I beg
of you to drop this.
This is not a battle worth fighting.
But when you are ready, i do know of a drum corps projest that you
and I could do together that would be healthy.
If the dust settles and you ever call me about my dream for corps in
the boston area I will share it with you.
It is unfair and cruel for you to to require this small gospel music
ministry to have to tie up its very limited resources to enter into a
court room battle that neither of us can afford. Shawn I plead and
beg
you to stop this now. If not for me, for the kids and the churches in
tennessee and in the se us , and for your college in RI.
I promise you, you do not want to drag Providence College into a
publicity mudd slinging contest against me. the Father Rev does not
want for this to happen, and if it does he will be very unhappy with
the both of us .
Patricia and I have many friends in the news media, remember who my
wife's deceased husband was, a famous political cartoonist who had a
lot of friends in the media.
Should you not honor my request to allow the Father Rev. to settle
and
end this now, and if you file even one piece of littigation against
us, or if you contact one church or one more govt. agency, we will
have no choice but to defend ourselves in the real media, and you do
not want to do that to the good Father Rev. and his nice college.

You are just all talk. I tried to be nice. I tried to settle this like
a gentlemen, i even apologized to you, if you want to represent
yourself in court against me over all of this stupid childish bs you
will lose because you will have a fool for a lawyer.
If you file a lawsuit against either me or this ministry, you will
give me no choice but to file a counter lawsuit against you which i
will win.If you file a lawsuit against me, you risk losing your job at
Providence college, against losing students, and against losing gigs
which i will get a parage permit for and legally picket. You will harm
the reputation of your band members, but who seems to care about them,
not you right?. You will get negative publicity the likes of which
you will never ever recover from, and as a result of the lawsuit and
its publicity I will get what i want, your money, more gigs and more

If you file a lawsuit over this you will give me a chance to become
more famous, a chance to be on major news media, tv shows, radio
shows, think of all the free publicity that you will be giving me.
I will go after everything that you own. I will show how that thru
your constant lies about my doctorate degree , my website references
and my trumpet playing, that you have not only caused me and this
ministry great financial hardship, but that you should also deserve a
great amount of punitive punishment for your lies about me. I will
show up with statements where you taunt me , claiming that i can not
play a trumpet well, and i will show up with a trumpet in my hands to
show the judge who can and who can not play a trumpet. I will also
seek damages for your public hate display where you mock me by falsely
claiming that i am a mental healh patient , not taking mental health
meds, am mentally ill. etc.
I will walk into the court room with my Doctorate degree and a trumpet
in my hands, and you will lose your case.
As for your bizzar threat for criminal action against me , if you
think that any of the actions that I have done against you could cause
criminal actions against me, go ahead and try, you must be a very
stupid lawyer if you think that expressing free speech in America is
against the law. I bet you wish that this were Canada don't you. You
and your pro abort democratic party are sure trying to make America
more like Canada. Good luck trying to convince a criminal judge that i
am stalking you when i have never met you, and in the last ten years
perhaps have never even been with a thousand miles of you. I guess
challenging the political views of a pro abort democrat is stalking
you huh...poor Shawn.Try this "Your honor he left a phone message at
my office asking me nicely to end our feud , and then a second one
where he played a sample of his music with trumpet playing that is
much better than mine is. You see your honor, that proves that he is
stalking me".
Shawn if you continue this feud and ignore my attempt to settle this
with the good Father Rev. it will prove to everyone that you are a
cruel mean spirited person. Shawn if you continue this you really will
rick losing your job at Providence College, you will cause Providence
College, Miami University, your band, and others bad publicity that
they do not want to see, plus you will do a great amount of harm to
the kids that this ministry help to join and stay in band.. But hey,
don't worry, like all pro aborts Shawn Hines you are not thinking of
all the other people involved in the situation like the KIDS , you are

I am done with this and I am done with with Shawn Hines.
I am sick of this feud and his libelous assult against me. He has his
opinion about me Doctorate is soley based on an unsourced post made by
Chip -Charles Torgersen , a person who Stuart Rice said had made a a
"low blow"attack against me.
If Shawn Hines files a lawsuit against me he will get a chance to deal
with Tim Thomas, I am thru with all of this from a legal standpoint,
and if he files a lawsuit I will ask Tim and Carl Thomas to defend me.
If Shawn Hines ever actually does file his silly frivolous lawsuit ,
which he never will because he knows that he has libeled me, and lied
about me Doctorate degree and the school that confirmed it;he lied my
trumpet playing abilities, this gospel music ministry, the good folks
on me reference page, Dr. Dan Payne, Frank Hoffecker Jr. and a long
list of many others.
If Hines ever goes thru with this , I will ask Tim Thomas to fight
this for me in court.Trust me, Hines does not want to go up against
Tim and Carl Thomas. Nobody would, because the Thomas' know the law
better than anybody, esp. carl thomas, who I trust. Carl was in the
church who started me playing the trumpet way back around 1976 or
so.Carl was an elder in the church that sent me to Florida Bible
College.
I am done talking about this in RAMD unless I see any paperwork from a
lawsuit from Hines, and if that happens, I will begin a media campaign
to support the Trumpet of the Lord against this mean spirited cruel
law suit that you will not believe.
Until I ever see a real lawsiut, in a spirit of cooperation, and to
try and resolve this like a gentlemen, I will honor hines request and
refrain from "hijacking" as hines calls it, his anti war motivated
silent posts.
This testosterone induced trivial childish pissing contest has gone
too far. Until I actually see a lawsuit filed against me and or this
gospel music ministry, I have officially put this to rest.Until I find
any evidence that hines has either contacted a church or gov. agency
again about me, or intil I see that a lawsuit has been filed against
me by Hines, I will put this to rest. If hines continues to harass or
if the does choose to sue this ministry( such as as I just described),
then I will break my silence on this issue.
I can only hope at this point that Shawn Hines will be willing to
allow the good Father Rev. to allow us to work together in order to
put this to a rest perminantly.
