The following is a list of previous Junior VFW and
American Legion National Champions.

The information came from various articles in Drum
Corps News and Eastern Review. After 1972 though,
there wasn't too much written about these shows.
Maybe someone can fill in the blanks and add some
years to the list if the shows were still held.

The Argonauts from Salem, Oregon won the 1975 VFW title.

I had to go look at my medal for the year. It was in Philly, hot
as hell, and the medal says "crossman" ..
Well, we all got one!

The 1980 Championship was the last for Jr. Corps competition. In 1997, a National Championship for Sr. Corps was revived, and finals were held from 1997 through to, and including 2001.

Sorry for any confusion with this second posting, but I needed to make a correction. When I input the missing information for 1973-1980, I typed in Kings"men" for 1978 and 1979, but I didn't notice that it auto-corrected it to Kings"man", so I have now forced the correction.

Cheers!
