How many of us have Audio and Video Recordings of Drum Corps for
the years 19-- to 1995?
I have many and for the most part I love them BUT----
the thing about our recordings which I really dislike is all of the
intentional shouting (not spontanious cheering) to insure that a
specific Corps member's name or your favorite saying is now
immortalized during the recording of your favorite Corps.

Drum Corps Fans!!! I challenge you to cheer during the recordings
but let's leave some of the extra BS for other times!!

If you are sitting next to someone who is ignorant enough to yell out -
"Go Jannifer!" at the top of his lungs during a quiet moment of any corps performance
Grab him by the throat and fix it so that he won't be doing anymore shouting for a long
time!

To all those who feel it necessary to scream during a corps show:

Please don't!

I know you might be just giving support to the corps or friend on the
field, but think about them. Imagine your a member of a corps and this is
your last performance. You play your heart out, giving it your all,(If
your lucky enough, you have a solo),
you wait what seems to be a eternity for your cd's to come. When they do,
you rip it open and start to listen to your show. Only to hear someone you
don't know SCREAMING during your solo. If you have never marched on the
field before let me tell you that the members are so concentrated on the
performance they will NEVER be able to tell if anyone is yelling for them,
UNTIL they get their CD's.
