I would have liked to see McGavok, Never is a Promise '98, done at the very
best point in their season. The show would have been more collectively
emotional and intense if there wouldn't have been severe weather and tornado
hitting Nashville, the week of World's; thinking they may have been
pre-occupied mentally...
I'm not sure who did this or exactly what year it was, but I want to see the
guard who did Annie Lennox's "Why" back around '91-'93...

my instructor once told us of a guard a while back that was fantastic. they
did a show in which each member was a different charcter a homeless guy, a
little girl , an ex army guy ,etc, and they each spun different objects, a
guard sabre, a broom, etc. but the best part was when they threw a toss and
all of their different objects spun in the air together with the same rotation
and everything from what she said that guard folded the next year or something
and i have never heard of anything like it other than when she described it
so my question is : has anyone heard of this guard that could give me more
information because even though i never saw then personally i would love to
know more about them or could it be that my instructor is a little off in her
memories of this group? it could also be that i missunderstood her thanks for
any input you can give

This sounds like the independent world guard, Forte. I saw them at the
Mid-West Regional in 1995, I think. It was an awesome show! And they did
all spin "different" different pieces of equipment. Someone correct me if
I am wrong. I also believe that Jeff Newton, who marched Pride '97 and '98
(Fluffy) marched Forte that year.

I'm not from Emerald Marquis, but my high school guard did Amazing Grace last

I totally agree with this list because of how far back it goes, the
question post dates videotape so none of these late 90's shows, those
can be taped and viewed over and over. The real shows were from the 70's
and 80's especially St. Anthony's "Magic to do", St. Patricks "We're an
American Band" St Anthony's Cossack yr, St. Therese & Sacred Heart. Also
I would like to see Skylarks any year again, and Phantom Regiment "Star

Yes, Trumbull '98 was excellent. I was so happy that I got the chance to see
them every week because they competed in our circuit, along with Norwalk, and
Bunnell (they both had an awesome weapons line and the flag features in
Norwalk's show were breath-taking), I also thought that FOV, Pride, Fantasia,
