How about an arrangement of "Mary Had a Little Lamb"? Ugh. It makes me
cringe just thinking about it. :(

What's wrong with Bolero?

PULP (pulp) n. 1.A soft, moist, shapeless mass of matter.
2.A book containing lurid subject matter, and being
characteristically printed on rough, unfinished paper.

By the way, I thought of another one that would be even worse.
Beethoven wrote a short string quartet movement known as the Grosse
Fugge. It is an incredibly complex fugal piece and I suspect that any
band trying to march to it would come away with broken arms and legs!!

If my memory serves me...Madison Scouts played an abridged version of Bolero
that was unbelievable. Anyone recall when this was?

That wasn't bad. That was crude and made a mockery of one of the most
tragic events in human history. The idea is overkill and should never
have been posted. Please grow up.

Two words for you pal. Lighten up. I respect the Holocaust as one of the worst

There is some beautiful music from that film. I purchased the soundtrack
and actually reviewd the music for a possible field show. Couldn't find
enough useable stuff. I think our show would have sounded like a 10
minute funeral. Beautiful stuff, though.

Careful there, you don't want to get Cecil Martin riled up about marches again.

PLEASE TELL ME YOU WERE JOKING ABOUT THE DISCO !!!! I hated that crap. That's
one thing that can stay in the past. With one noteable exception.....I kinda
liked "Disco Duck".

Nothing against the Beatles, but hearing "Hey Jude" performed by a
marching band just doesn't float my boat. (Rather, it sinks my shako. Ha

It was VERY abriged because it was their on field warm up and they just
stood still for it. But for the minute or so of it, it was amazing
musically. They are marchign a full length bolero as their operner this
year I believe.

Somewhere on the r.a.m.drumcorps newsgroup, a Madison Scout Member
