Needless to say EVERY BAND in the Rose Parade is very special. They have
ALL worked hard to get the official invitation...They are presently in
their home communities, practicing hard, and working at fund raising to
make this "trip of a lifetime"... If all holds true to form they will
turn the corner from Orange Grove onto Colorado BLVD on New Years
Morning and face more than 1 million people, who have been camping out
on the boulevard for two days to see them. ALSO this is one of the
worlds most televised events seen in over 80 nations, by an estimated 2
BILLION people. WORLD OF PAGEANTRY is preparing it's 19th annual "Bands
of the BOwl Game Issue", and we will have more information and photos at
our own website which is <www.worldofpageantry.com>.
By The Way, the Band Chairman and Committee of the Tournament of Roses
have already begun work on the bands to participate in the year 2000.
More than 300 bands have submitted their resume's and applications. It
should be a great INTERNATIONAL PARADE!... Tune in World of Pageantry
for all of the latest. Harvey

of 007 and Men in Black, and it really rocked. They placed around 6th
give or take a spot(critics be forgiving of my failed memory) this year at
the Tennessee Contest of Champions, so they will surely put on a great show.
You forgot UCLA and Wisconsin! ;-)
Also, as a past participant in this parade, I would STRONGLY encourage all
participants, especially those with heavy instruments, to ask Santa Claus for a
Camelbak or other convenient water-carrying device.
