I had contacted regarding her game "Glass" which I had (after the fact
found out)
downloaded an earlier version of the source code and she alluded in
her reply to
me that a new version of I7 may be coming out soon.

Anyone know anything about this?

I've only seen vague and uninformed speculation, but I would make three
observations:

First, if you look at the calendar, you'll see that successive releases
of I7 have gotten further apart in a sort of gently rising exponential
curve. The last two releases were 6 months apart. In December it will
have been 8 months since the last release.

Second, I've received one email from Graham relative to a bug I
reported. This tends to indicate that he's preparing a new release.

Third ... haven't seen much of Emily on the newsgroup lately, have we?
Quite likely she's busy doing other things. That may be an indication as
well.

And there's some more vague and uninformed speculation! As Manuel said,
so memorably, in an episode of Fawlty Towers, "I know notheeng."

Sad? If I7 were a business I would agree with you. Instead, it is a
completely free development system produced by a small group of people
who get no direct income from its success. That it exists at all, as
well-designed and -developed as it is, is quite astonishingly
wonderful.
