Hello again,

the following files have arrived at the Interactive Fiction Archive at
ftp.gmd.de:/if-archive (Germany)

and should be available soon at the mirror sites:

wuarchive.wustl.edu:/doc/misc/if-archive (USA)
ftp.achilles.net:/wuarchive/doc/misc/if-archive (Canada)
ftp.io.org:/pub/mirrors/if-archive (Canada)
ftp.funet.fi:/pub/misc/if-archive (Finland)
ftp.dstc.edu.au:/pub/if-archive (Australia)

If you are looking for a particular file in the archive, check
if-archive/Master-Index, it is updated daily.

ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/betas/ZipInfinity.120b2.cpt.bin
new version 1.20 Beta 2 of ZIP Infinity, Matthew Russotto's Mac Infocom
interpreter. His description:
"ZIP Infinity 1.2 is a full-featured Infocom interpreter for the
Macintosh. Based on Mark Howell's ZIP 2.0, and updated for greater
compliance with Graham Nelson's 0.2 specification, ZIP Infinity can play
any V1-V5 or V8 Infocom or Inform game. Support for sound, multiple fonts,
user-selectable screen size, and the Beyond Zork graphics font is now
included. Still present is the original 1-window interface. And Zip
Infinity should work under System 6 and with 68000-based Macintoshes
(though I have no such machines to test with).
Note that you may need to increase the memory allocation for large V8
games.
Report bugs to russ...@pond.com."
This file replaces betas/MacZIPinf.68k.120b1.cpt

ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/download-tools/mac/unz512x.hqx
UnZip 5.12 (28aug94) by Info-ZIP, decompresses .zip files an a Macintosh.
We had a problem with both ZipIt 1.2 and 1.3 with one particular file (not
from the IF-archive): they both decompressed the file without error or
warning, but the resulting Mac executable was corrupt.
UnZip 5.12 processes this file correctly.
