I've been looking in various ways for a UI designer and am struggling
to find anyone that fits the bill.
The work would include taking my ideas for an IF UI and turning it
into a semi-functional prototype (no game functionality) in Flash,
XAML, SVG, or any other UI tools that allow for high end graphics and
animation.
The resulting UI design will allow all parts to be templated and
handed to an illustrator/graphic designer for story based artwork.
Someone with some usability skills would be nice too.

what's the pay?
Forgive me for asking that bluntly, but I'm doing this kind of work
for a living. UI design is a lot of work and if you want something
more or less professional you will have to hire a professional. I'm
certainly up to the task (Flash, Java, C# - you name it), but since
the company I work for is based in Germany anything has to be done
online.

I don't think it's appropriate to negotiate pay in "public" and before
I even get to that point I'd probably want to review someone's
portfolio.

Even though I mentioned Flash and SVG as skills, the resulting UI must
be developed in .NET 3.0 Windows Presentation Foundation and XAML. If
you know Flash well enough, this should not be a huge transition and
as Vista development becomes more commonplace, this skill will become
more valuable.
