Another important compatibility fix should allow the interpreter to run on
every big-endian machine (Linux PowerPC, for example) without having to
touch the project file. The system's endianess is now detected at build
time.
The only other change is quite minor: alpha-channel support for the icons.
If they appeared blocky and pixelized in the past, this release should fix
that.
As always, download the new version from:
There are two Linux binaries available now; one for Qt 3.1.x (but also runs
on 3.2.x and 3.3.x versions) and one for Qt 3.3.x (runs only with the Qt
3.3.x runtime library; prefer this if you're using a recent Qt dll).
The OS X binary is still stuck at version 1.5 though, and no one volunteered
yet to provide an up to date binary. If you're interested, please get in
contact with me. Creating an OS X binary is easy; you don't need to know
how to code in C++ or anything like that. I would create the binary myself,
but I don't have access to an OS X machine.
OK, that's it. I wanted to bring this release out ASAP, as I'm going on
vacation for the next 3 weeks or so. Happy IFing!
