Hello!
Some weeks ago I bought two Jess Franco movies from
a local movie store that specializes in all kinds of
cult movies, and so on. The movies were:
1) Vampyros Lesbos
2) She Killed In Ecstacy
If I understood correctly, Franco shot them almost
back to back and used same actors to some extent.
For some reason, I had high hopes concerning
Vampyros Lesbos. I thought it was going to be good.
Unfortunately I was let down. This movie does have
some stylish moments, but overall, I found it quite
boring. For example, the vampire theme is virtually
non-existent. The vampires are few and far between,
and they do not even have those disgusting teeth
like Christopher Lee had when he played Dracula.
Then I watched She Killed In Ecstacy. I think it
was better than Vampyros Lesbos, but I would not
call it a great movie by any means. However, I
think it is a pretty good movie that is worth
watching at least once.
The next Jess Franco film I am going to watch
is Count Dracula (1970) starring Christopher
Lee. I do not know if I am going to be disappointed
again, but somehow I expect it to be a good movie.
