I came across a website (maybe around 2002?) for an artist,
who I think had a Chinese name but lived in US or Canada,
and painted in a hybrid East-meets-West style.
His paintings typically had a densely coloured semi-abstract background
(like a jungle from 300 metres up), with details (e.g. flying cranes)
superimposed.
IIRC most paintings were square, and were possibly painted in acrylics.
Has anyone out there any ideas who the artist might be?
Many thanks -- Ewart Shaw.
