Finally. A homepage my computer allowed me to go to.

I find it hard to take your work seriously, Justin. I want to, but it's like
you are shooting bullets at me, destroying my effort.

First problem, the hype promotes you as being 19. Nothing wrong with being 19,
just the timing is wrong to use quotes of dead established famous painters all
over your page as if it related to your work.

Just show the paintings Justin. Drop all the pretentious bullshit. Let people
decide for themselves.

Problem #2 is the background you chose to show your work on. Yo! I see this
kind of thing all over the art pages I've gone to. You ever see galleries with
walls painted like that? Is a wall like that one you would choose to hang your
work on? Doesn't it make it kind of hard to look at the work? Like having a
flashing light next to the painting, or having someone light fire crackers in
the gallery?

The colorful page makes it really hard to take your work seriously.

Problem #3: I only ventured as far as the first page of paintings. Of the 5
pieces featured, they looked like they were done by 4 different artists. For
the collector, that's like trying to hire an architect based on photos of a
bridge, house, cookie jar, dog house and airplane he designed. You are jumping
all over the place. True, dates weren't mentioned, but you're only 19. Picasso
may have gone through many stages but he devoted years to exploring each. One
gets the impression from your page that you have multiple personalities and
every painting you do is completely different in style.

Yo, if it makes you happy. Just I think it strongly works against the idea of
having anyone take you seriously.

Other than that, I do see something in Skull and Red (and another I forget the
name of) which makes me think you have potentially good seed (I mean, you're
only 19). Just it seems you are more interested in screaming about how
significant you are, than you are in devoting the decade(s) it is gonna take
for the seed to mature.

You are going way too fast in a process which necessitates slow.

perfectly said; that mainstream wannabe rip-off shit is shooting
bullets towards anyone doing hard work on art scene. looks like every
week there is someone who is learning to play with color-theory hyping
crap up just like they would be somekinds of messiahs or art saviours.
but anyway if there are people buying that crap Justin has succeeded :)

Hello everyone. Thanks for addressing the
problems with my webpage. I recently added those
backgrounds- some like them and some hate them.
Perhaps you are right and I should remove them.
As to the style of my paintings, I only concern
myself with color and its interaction- the
composition and structure does not hold much
importance for me. Regardless, I rarely paint
anymore- I devote my time to my drawings which
all are in the same "style."
www.angelfire.com/oh2/picasso/drawings2.html.

Alot of the pictures of my drawings were taken
with polaroid so the quality of the scans are
average. They appear a bit dull and blurry-
making it hard to read the words clearly.

To keep everyone up to date, my next solo
exhibition is in April 2000 at Giorgio Milan
Gallery in Boston. This show will feature 6 huge
6 by 12 feet drawings done on Tarp. There will
also be one additional aspect of the show which
is expected to be very controversial- I cannot
reveal it until I interview with the Cleveland
Plain Dealer next week. Also Ms Hirsch who is the
main editor of Art on Paper will cover the show.
So if you are in the area, come to the show- the
work is much better in person and the show itself
is expected to draw controversy at least in the
Boston area.

Again, thanks for all the comments both positive
and negative.

Recently more people have told me that the backgrounds on my page do
not look good so I just removed them. I only left a background on my
main page.
