Is there poetry at Wal Mart?

Check in housewares, second isle past small appliances, top shelf on
the left as you face Electronics. I also saw some in Produce before
you get to the Dairy section.

I was just shopping there today, with my daughter's partner, and when
we were in the book section I looked for poetry, but didn't find any.
It wasn't a total loss, though; I paid attention to the books he
picked up, and got a few ideas what to get him.

No poetry in Value Village this week, either, but I did get a copy of
Cohen's "The Future" for $3. I'm listening to it now: "Democracy's
coming to the U.S.A."

I'm not familiar with Stugots, but I remember Godfather's Pizza pretty
fondly.

Stugots is a colloquial expression of Italian derivation used in
context to reference its popularization in the TV series, The
Sopranos, about a Godfather-like character and his 'family'.

To be called Stugots is ostensibly a pejorative not dissimilar to
being called smelly ballsack sweat. Should such a Godfather-like
stereotypical character ever comment that Godfather's Pizza was
Stugots, it might be inferred that he considered the product inferior,
and inauthentic.

Shel Silverstein

Sheldon Allan "Shel" Silverstein (September 25, 1930 – May 10, 1999),
[1][2] was an American poet, singer-songwriter, musician, composer,
cartoonist, screenwriter and author of children's books. He styled
himself as Uncle Shelby in his children's books. Translated into 20

Two of Silverstein's books were on the shelf:

Every Thing On It and Where The Sidewalk Ends.

Sorry, I'm having a bit of a slow witted day here, Will. I don't
understand your question. I haven't been to WalMart since last week.
I do most of my reading online and on my iPad, so I rarely buy hard
cover books anymore unless I find an old one in a smelly bin somewhere
that attracts my attention. I think I even gave you a smelly old
book, didn't I?

I was just wondering if there were any other poetry books on the
shelves at the Wal Mart you went to last week besides Shel
Silverstein, if in fact he was even there... but if isn't important
either way, I guess.

It was really crowded. I got in; got what I needed; put a little on
layaway; and got out. No stop in between. If I had a book on a
WalMart shelf, I think I'd go visit it every day.

I don't see many midnights. I'll probably have to take a nap this
afternoon if I want to see the ball drop tonight.
