That's a question only, definitely no assertion.

Do you know Kurt Blume / iframeart.com alias
artcatalog.com in Seattle WA? He sells art
prints and he is a nice guy, but I'm in
correspondence with him for seven months now
in order to get a print I have paid for.
With no success.

I'm getting mails of apologies or excuses
sometimes but it seems that these are the
only things he does in my case.

Is this normal?

regards - p.

No, I don't know him but if I were you I would ask
for your "fine art prints" back, you know, the ones
with the Presidents of the United States printed
on one side.

Unfortunately yes, Paul. It is quite normal. The "gentleman's
agreement" between buyer and vendor is not a legally fool-proof
contract, usually. And the art-world is rife with quasi-criminal
shysters, which is one of the things that makes it so delightful,
corrupt, and dangerous. It's a lot like post- communist Russia, where
the definition of who is right depends on who wins.

Thank you for your words.

You won't believe it and we didn't believe it
too. The print arrived, needs some ironing
though due to postal service wrinkling forces
but I needn't mourn for our Franklins or
Washingtons.

After all the changeable months of this
longeish story iframeart alias artcatalog
eventually told us a wrong package tracking
number and we thought he's making fun of us
and we gave up.

But, as we know now, he's a gentleman anyway.
It just required a bit of patience on our
side. No fear to ask for prints in Seattle WA.

cheers - p.
