I've been putting it off and putting it off, but finally I'm getting around
to updating my website. Specifically, the painting section. Here are 3 new
paintings. I have two more works I want to put up in the next little while
-- including the abstract I mentioned in an earlier post.

City of the Solar Eye
Abstract colour clash.

Scratch
Black paint and coloured pencil face.

Zero
Count to ten, starting with zero.

As always, comments are welcome. Even from Mani.

A big piece of expensive, acid free paper. The work is partly acrylic paint
and partly coloured pencil.

People seem to frown on art that's done on paper, as opposed to canvas.
Personally, I hate canvas. Paper takes a beating better, and holds on to
whatever gook I throw at it. Canvas is finicky, unstable, and whiny, and
cries like a wounded money whenever I try to use pencil on it.

Although I should try canvas board, because that might be okay.

Ya, they do. What I don't like with paper is that is is easely damaged
when wet. I always had a problem storing my work in a dry place. I try
to give it away to people that appreciate. But as you know, if they
don't pay for it they think it worth less.
I also like Zero best. What I like in all of them are the colors.

You are right about not knowing what they mean before you do them, but
after, it is possible to invent reasons that could be good reasons and
you don't have to say that it was an after thought... just explain
about subconcient behavior or find a girl that can explain that for
you. The whole exercise is worth the effort.

I won't buy anything, but that does not mean that I don't find it a
good buy. Subconsciously ... I have a problem with storage.

I often make up explanations for why I do what I do, or why I did what I did.
I thought it might be more amusing, in this case, to admit that I don't know,
and leave it at that. It seems more honest, not that honesty is the best
policy. If anything, honesty leads to getting crucified.

Look at your watch and "you" know what time it is.

"What time is it?" asks a friend.

You realize "you" don't know what time it is, and look at your watch again.

This is because the first you and the second you aren't the same "you". One
part is internal (thinking), the other part is external (speaking).

This pretty much explains everything you need to know about human beings.

I understand.

Today I went to an antique store and saw a beautiful asian bench over 150
years old, well worn with a thousands butts that sat on it. It has a very
warped, rippled surface. Very nice, very plain. Looking at it, touching it,
made me extremely happy.

They want $1000 for it. A part of me is still considering going back and
buying it.

I have no idea what I would do with it, or how I would work it into the decor
of my home.

If anyone would like to buy $1000 worth of my paintings, please do it right
now. It would make it possible for me to buy the bench tomorrow.

>Subconsciously ... I have a problem with storage.

Subconsciously, I have a problem with telling the difference between me and
reflections of me. Which is why I won't buy an antique mirror.

How much do you get for writing a bit of "spice?" Would you still do that
for extra money?

The men's magazines in the states pay US$350 for 3,000 words or so, if I
recall correctly. I've been contemplating writing some more filth so I can
pay off my credit card debt faster.

Or were you asking me how much I would charge YOU to write you a porn story?

i weigh in on zero, also.
my paintings are done when my eyes and mind stop hurting and instead
are soothed by what i'm painting.
a dali quote, "just because i don't know what my paintings mean while
i am painting doesn't mean my work has no meaning"

So two articles and you could own the bench! Sometimes ya gotta do some
boring graphic design/retail work to pay for the tube of rose madder.

I've got some images I've compiled from the internet which address my
proclivity quite nicely and work every time, but thanks anyway.

Yup. Besides, writing porn is fun. It's re-writing and polishing the porn
story which gets dull. :-P

Images? I thought women were generally turned on by text, and men by images.
It would seem that we both go against the grain of our genders.

aren't humans amazing? They get bored re-writing sex. The same old story
every night.

I just read something somewhere, maybe a science magazines, that said
woman were turned on by images. Female images even if they are not gay. d.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I refuse to take criticism seriously when it comes from someone who doesn't
punctuate their questions properly, and who writes "OMG" instead of "oh my
God". Sorry. However, if you would care to address further criticism my
way, please write your thoughts on the back of a fifty dollar bill, and then
mail it my way.

Thanks!

PS.

Someone has to write porn stories, otherwise the pages of every Sears
catalogue would stick together.
