It is an old european painting with the following scene:
It is a market place (or something similar) where many people are
selling paintings. The paintings seems to be also famous paintings of
the time. All of the paintings within the paintings are miniature but
with some degree of detail in them. The whole scene is concentrated on
these small paintings with some buyers looking around and some hagling
with the sellers.
I was intrigue by this painting because to me he seemed to be very
good because he was able to paint copies of the masters in miniature.
Can anyone let me know who the artist was or name of the painting?
Thanks.
There is a painting of a gallery/store by Watteau, the Belgian-French
master. It shows many paintings on the walls and one of a French king
being put into a chest. This seems similar to what you describe.
