Sketches in abstract expressionism?
Ho, this is a real novelty!
What for?
It was KNOWN that something
(that has no shape, no form,
no particular images, no coherent lines,
no outline, no meaning either)
does _not_ need any sketches or studies.
what it does _need_:
one wounded ego,
a proper mindset (alcohol and drugs help to boost
euphoria) and mood to create (even if one can't), buckets
of paint (most bright), brushes (of a broom size) and canvases
(the bigger - the better).
the rest is simple: whichever way "artist" start -
masterpieces will flow one after another...
Weaving the Conundrum

MONEY? That is if you have a valuable signature.
...no skill no art!
Want to get away from the indecipherable imbecilities and absurd pretensions of the modern art establishment?
Check out my web page http://www3.sympatico.ca/manideli/
Sketch If you want,
dont mind the manis of this world
It depends on how tightly you want to
stick to the "expressionist" method
I personally do stuff by sketching compositions and
then transfering to a canvas and painting
I dont know if you are an accomplished apinter
looking for a new avenue.
If you are a beginner, sketch all the time
Its the key to improving your skills
and getting imagination going
There is a book by nita leyland called
"the creative artist" and it has really good
exercises
