Old painting.. canvas stamped on back

I purchased a painting a couple of years ago that is very old and the
canvas is stamped on the back.....Made in Belgium. It is an oil, very
impressionistic. I would like to communicate with someone that might be
familiar with something of this era. Thank you....Marilyn

Means nothing -- except that the canvas was made in Belgium, where
much of the better quality artists canvas has always come from. No
one can discuss anything about a painting with you that has no
better information than this. Who was the artist? AbT.

Sir: My intent was to locate someone who would know more about such things
than I, without divulging over the group who the artist is. The painting
has been seen by a couple of different appraisers in the Northwest and has
been confirmed to be of the appropriate age to be authentic. I am truly
interested in finding someone who is able to discuss French Impressionism
