I am an abstract oil painter living in Japan. I had started to upload
my daily work on my website since March 14 2006. Please take a look
and let me know what you think. Thanks. Hiroshi

Hhiroshi:
If a person has good drawing skills he has the potential to be a
good painter. But if he/she can't draw he will never be a good painter. Much
abstract art including yours demands no skill whatever. A pet dog could do
it with a paintbrush tied to his tail. You may have artistic talent, but you
don't show any here. As a result my opinion would have to be
negative.(Emphasis on the word opinion)

Bill.

im not generally nasty, but I cant believe someone
would actually buy these paintings

there are two or three on the site that are nice
but the recent ones are just ugly (in my opinion)

Regarding the "no skill, no art" theory
I think this can be solved with good design
use of colour, etc etc., but there is nothing there for me
in these "works"

While this artist was apparently calling attention to
his small abstracts that are currently being promoted on Ebay,
he also has a large body of representational works
on his web site that are, for some reason, under his
"archives" heading - not under paintings.

He is an accomplished artist who, like most artists,
has good and not-so-good paintings in various
mediums on his site. I particularly like his "Harvest"
landscape painting, as well as the several portraits.

Why don't I ? I'm a little busy right now. Why don't you get bck to me
in a month or so. Maybe I'll have an answer for you then. Meanwhile, have
a nice day.
Bill.
