I dunno Dan, I think it was rather shallow. Pissarro & Cezanne were
working on different problems (or at least very different philosophical
foundations); to compare them simply on the basis of the visual first
strike of their images to me mostly announces the author's bias.
Phrases like "determining the good from the great", with painters that
work at that level, tend to indicate that someone who is nether wrote
the article :)
But I did enjoy it.
