I've seen a lot of good books on colored pencil techniques,
but does anyone know if there are any books dedicated to
only *watercolor* pencils?

many thanks for any info,
andy.

Most of the colored pencil books I've seen include at least some discussion
of techniques for using watercolor pencils. These include books by
Borgsen, Parramon, Poulin, and others. I do have one book that deals
exclusively with watercolor pencils and other aquerelle media. I don't
remember the title or author offhand, but I found it in the catalog from
Sax Arts and Crafts in Wisconsin. I've never seen it anywhere else.

Well, just to follow up on my own posting, the book was:

Jelbert, Wendy, _How to use Water-Soluble Pencils and other aquarelle
media_, 48 pp., full color illustrations, softcover.

To order:

Sax Arts & Crafts
P.O. Box 51710
New Berlin, WI 53151
1-800-323-0388

The book was item 570-059V in their Fall 1994 catalog, $11.95. They
have some pretty nice stuff, some of which is MUCH cheaper than
anyplace else I've seen it.
