I'm seeking to get in contact with anyone out there interested in
Outsider Art, Art Brut, Neuve Invention, etc..

I am particularly interested in the work of Madge Gill,
Malcolm McKesson, Henry Darger, Adolf Wolfli, to name a few.

Did anyone out there go to the Parallel Visions exhibition 1993 in Los
Angeles?
Do you read Raw Vision international journal? I would be interested to
know if any other, similar publications exist in the U.S.

What are your views on art therapists encouraging psychiatric patients
to produce works that will late gain gallery status?

Are you familiar with "Intuit"? This is an organization dedicated to
outsider art. They have a home page and a newsletter. http://outsider.art.
org/
Folk Art magazine also has quite a bit about outsider art these days. It is
published by the American Folk Art Musuem. I do read and enjoy Raw Vision.
We collect lesser known artists than you mention. John MacGegor has a book
out soon about Henry Darger. He has previously written about Dwight Mackintosh.
I saw them both the other day at the Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland.
John has an interview in the latest Intuit newsletter. I think it's on their
Web site. Talk to you later.
