Governors State University is offering a college-level art investigation
and discussion course on the Internet during the Fall semester. The class
will meet online beginning September 4, 1996, using a Listserv. Art
objects from Russia, China, India, Nigeria, Iran, Mexico, and a Native
American culture will be studied and contrasted in the context of the
culture in which they were created and functioned. During the course,
those with WWW access will view images online.
This is a unique opportunity for junior, senior, or graduate level
students, or for any with an interest in art history or world history to
participate in the growing new educational uses for Internet technology.
