Good book on History of Modern Art!

Which are good books I can buy and have the following. I am mainly
interested in paintings and sculptures
- Different movements in the modern history, information on them
- Various artists and their styles with lots of examples
- Listing of various famous paintings and where (which museum) they
are now
A fat book with lots and lots of pictures to see, something like
encyclopedia. There is one but I find it in French. If one book is not
sufficient, may be list of books.

This is such a personal thing that you're going
to get responses that may or may not suit your
own needs. My suggestion would
be to go to your nearest college or univ and see
what the bookstore there sells to the students
for text books on art history. That'll get you
started. Otherwise browse your local book sellers
and libraries until you find one that appeals to
you.
