I only saw this post just.
If a copyist is able to copy a Picasso such that it looks very
similar, then there is skill and competent on the copyist's part but
not on the originator. If Picasso's paintings are of photo-realistic
images in his head, then he needs to see a psychiatrist.

Why has this newsgroup deteriorated even further
than it has in the past with its focused
discussion on the merits or demerits of Picasso works???
What about Alice Neal, Lucien Freud, Chuck Close,
Willem Dekooning, Velasquez and a whole host of other artists
who distorted and re-shaped the human visage for their
own particular reasons???
Isn't it time to move on and discuss some other
artists besides Picasso, who has already been
written about and debated about ad nauseam.

Picasso is picked simply because he is the most overrated artist,
especially judging by the number of books written about him.
DeKooning, Pollock and Matisse etc follow close behind. My scathing
remarks extend to Ingres and even Bouguereau himself, abet with the
understanding that, unlike Picasso, some of their incompetence were
not lied about and twisted into wholesomeness and into an advantage
(except maybe by myopic critics who want to see it that way).
See thread "False statements - Ingres" for a post about Ingres.

Freud is great, his rendering of human flesh is quite something.

Made you "owrd" did it! Rendered flesh
could gag a maggot, so not to worry...
why do you always try to make fun of people that make typos? we
obviously understand the sentence in spite of the typo because we are
PATTERN RECOGNITION FILTERS. when people just type, they make a lot of
errors that don't need to be corrected because the sentence is still
easily understood. your posts are really not funny. that shit is
getting old. can you please stop?
>can you please stop?
NO!
What fun would then ensue?
Thank you!
