So 16 years after the Blair Witch Project, Doctor Who tries doing a story in
the same style. Perhaps it can be done effectively. But not this time.

I don't know about "sleep no more", but I started drifting off within about
10 minutes. Maybe there's a story lurking in there somewhere, then again,
maybe not.

I think most of the cast were sleepwalking through the entire episode, and
the Doctor and Clara were pretty superfluous. The only character of note was
Rassmussen but even he was rather lacklustre.

OK, so there were no moon sized eggs in this one, or sentient forests, but
(if you haven't guessed) this one left me distinctly underwhelmed.

The video so far is very spooky. Does the episode title reflect Moffat's belief that the fans won't be able to sleep after watching this episode?

I watched it but, like Stephen, found it difficult to concentrate. I'll
have to watch it again before being able to write a commentary.

Well I've seen it now. Never seen an episode on which the Doctor was a
patsy and evil prevailed. It was a horror story with an interesting
ending for this show. Seem to remember they might have stolen the
ending from a recentish Hollywood gore fest.

I enjoyed it partly because it left more questions unanswered than it
addressed.

How can they be sleepwalking? Wouldn't Rasmussen's signal eliminate their need to sleep?

What about final episode of Patrick Troughton's first serial - The
Power of the Daleks, where at the end as the TARDIS is dematerializing
the supposedly dead Dalek's eye-stalk lights up?

Hell, any episode featuring the Daleks ... they always lose, but they
always come back.

The grav shields fail, causing the station to fall towards Neptune. This means that the station is NOT in orbit about Neptune, but simply hovering over Neptune like a balloon. "Grav shields" must also mean "Anti-gravity". However, while the station is falling towards Neptune, shouldn't it be in free fall, leading to zero gravity conditions on the station?

Morpheus pods send coded electronic signals into the brain to compress the sleep experience into 5 minutes.

The sleep dust that people wipe out of their eyes has evolved into a carnivorous life form. The dust has merged together.

People now worship multiple Gods. Can we blame the Indian/Japanese power bloc for that?

The Doctor says that ALL sentient beings need sleep. This would include Daleks, Cybermen, and Sontarans. Has anyone ever seen a Dalek, Cyberman, or Sontaran sleep normally, as opposed to being in suspended animation (Tomb of the Cybermen) or being knocked (Sontarans by being hit in the probic vent, or Strax by a shovel)?

Beam, Stephen. KJV , remember; Dave belongs to one of those Mystery cults
that believes the Bible shouldn't be translated into language the believers
can actually understand.

Of course, Dave goes one step further and tries to ensure that his thoughts
aren't translated into language that ANYONE can actually understand.

Yeap, it sure would, but conversely, the impression we are given is of
The Doctor completing an adventure somewhere, without apparently
sleeping, and he hops into the TARDIS, and whamo, he appears somewhere
else, without sleeping, to start another adventure!!

Why would Movellans or Mechaniods need sleep?

Well, the Doctor stated the general rule that all sentient beings need sleep. Since Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans, Movellans, Mechaniods, and Xoanon are sentient, that means tha THEY need sleep! I was astonished at the implication that even mechanical or computer beings need sleep, and was asking if that was true.
