Merry Christmas 2009 and Happy New Year 2010
But what day, though? Let's all have a PAAAAARRRTTTTTTYYYYY! (In Frank
Gallagher's "Shameless" voice....)
Word on the street is it's on New Year's Eve. Could be wrong. I'd prefer
New Year's Day meself as I'll be out otherwise.
Is this the six word title you referred to previously?
Regards
Ged
Yes. So much for RTD's claim that it's the longest ever Who story title.
It's a wee bit of a cop out to include the words "Part One" and "Part
Two" as part of the actual title, but that's what he meant.
What a roister doister he is
Regards
Ged
I was under the impression that both parts would be screened on
Christmas Day.
Odd that they're doing "Part One" and "Part Two" when they've resisted
doing so for every other two-parter - wonder if "End of Time Part Two"
is just a working title, or a way of keeping the real one under wraps?
Phil
I would guess that either 1) It was originally hoped the BBC would
broadcast both "parts" as a two hour finale, or 2) It'll be repeated as
a two hour episode.
Or perhaps RTD just couldn't think of a title for part two. :-)
Hopefully the show is good.
A wee bit of a cop-out? Bloody unimaginative is what it is! Although as
long as the content is entertaining, it could be Pigs Ears: Part One and
Two and it wouldn't matter. (Well apart from the people who worry about
such things as titles that is!)
Roll on Christmas...
Well let's face it: you can't get much more dramatic than "The End of Time",
can you? (Unless you'd added "...And Space Across the Whole Multiverse" or
summat...)
"The End of Reality Itself"?
Phil
Six word's in the title... The End Of Time: Part Two?
Is that it?
How can that be a longer title than, say, The Talons of Weng-Chiang,
Part Four?
Phil
It could have been "The End of Time, - For Real, No Shit". :-)
Yes, catch up Aggy.
Because "Part Four" wasn't part of the story title itself.
Even "The Talons of Weng-Chiang" is longer than (or as long as) "The
End of Time Part Two" (25 characters including spaces vs. 24, 25 if
the colon is counted).
Phil
I don't think RTD was counting each character Phil! WORDS perhaps? Six
words. Not five.
Patience!!
What for the BBC to air it.
TRoll on Trolsbury.
More 'information' Trollsbury?
As the swan song continues.
Phil
Didn't Davros already bag that line? ;-)
How unusual !!

Knee JErk Reaction.
Crikey! I know us Doctor Who fans can be a bit nerdy at times, but I never
thought I'd see a discussion around characters in a title, spaces and
semi-colons!!! :-)
Grammar fight!
It would have been impolite not to explain. ;-)
Part Two isn't a title.
Here we go again.
I think you'll find it IS, in this case. Get an education. LOL!
Technically it isn't. The title is "The End Of Time". It's not just your
brain where there's a colon.
TRolls bury does it again.
Good one Ag.
No Aggy. Do your research. The OFFICIAL title IS "The End of Time, Part
One" and "The End of Time, Part Two". That's why RTD claims it's the
longest title for a Who story.
Now you and I might think it's a stupid way of making such a claim but
the claim is RTD's, not mine. Take it up with him if you want to be so
petty.
TRollsbury trolls again.
