Looks like the Master is some kind of robotic-cybernetic hybrid crossed with
Doctor Strange... Hmmm... Hope it's not *too* hammy... looks like it's
going to have to walk that fine line between camp and catastrophe - but then
hasn't it always?
The Master seems to have either turned into one of the X-Men or learnt that
fancy blue laser out the hand trick that the Emperor had in Star Wars. The
flickery skull effect reminded me of his appearance in The Deadly Assassin,
don`t know if that`s deliberate. I do hope he isn`t some sort of robot!!
I will wait 2 Jan 2010.

Merry Christmas 2009 and Happy New Year 2010
That's exactly what I thought! Bad aim too, I see. I hope this doesn't
turn out to be as dodgy as it looks.
Not shit, Sherlock! Way to go stating the obvious!

***What, like every baddy in every cop show and Western ever made? Never
heard of dramatic licence? Or, if you want the
geeky-fanwank-apologia-based-purely-on-speculation-from-a-tiny-clip schtick:
maybe the Doctor is using some techno-gizmoTM or Time Lord flesh:force:field
to deflect the Master's blast?***
I hope this doesn't
turn out to be as dodgy as it looks.
***It's "Doctor Who" and the Doctor's regenerating and everyfink! AND it's
Christmas! 'COURSE it's gonna be a bit dodgy!***
HA! HA!

I like the Gallifrey symbol behind the Master. And as for the X-ray
effect - maybe he gets hit by a Dalek ray and is laughing if off - he
may be indestructible. Every end of season RTD show has to have
Daleks! The Doctor may have to sacrifice himself to destroy the
Master.
Going to be fun though!

***Which, now I come to think of it, looks just like the phony-human alien
imposters in Carpenter's "They Live"...***
Yes, now you say it, it does indeed. Great film!
Hopefully Gallifrey will be back.

Yes! I loved that cheesy flick. Too bad about the 10 minute wrestling/
fight scene.
Probably due for a remake any month now!
Apart from the classics ("The Thing", "Halloween", etc.) I also really like
Carpenter's "In the Mouth of Madness". He's gone off the boil recently
though, eh? "Ghosts of Mars" was just abyssmal...
