I noticed the RT had missed a few from that list deliberately. You can
add Billie Piper, John Barrowman, Matt Smith, and Noel Clarke, even
though they'll only appear briefly, and I'm sure Nick Briggs will be
lending his voice talents to flesh out one or two other aliens. ;-)

...and also forgot Lis Sladen, Tommy Knight, Camille Coduri, Jessica
Hynes and Russel Tovey. With Roger Bailey as a Time Lord.

RTD is making a big party of it so let's hope he gives us a good
conclusion and hasn't over-egged the pudding.

RTD is incapable of doing anything else when it comes to end of season

Doomsday, Last of the Timelords and especially Journey's End.

It would be refreshing - even amazing - if we had a nice small scale
personal story between the Master and the Doctor without all the
trappings of the The Universe, Time, and the fabric of reality itself
being in danger, just 2 increasingly desperate, increasingly mad Time
Lords trying to escape their destiny.

Indeed. However RTD also knows to give the public what they want. Whilst a
secion of fandom would prefer to see a small scale & reigned in finale Joe
Public would find it a huge anti-climax. I fully expect him to throw the
kitchen sink at his swan song, am preprared for it and thus will just sit
back and enjoy the ride! For all it`s faults Journey`s End was tremendous
fun IMO.

If you want that kind of story, try the Big Finish audios. One story, simply
titled "Master", has the 7th Doctor as Time's Champion and the Master
(played by Geoffrey Beevers) as Death's Champion.

If you're expecting fanwank from RTD, I'm sure that's exactly what you'll
get. And I expect you'll hate it.

Meanwhile, I'm expecting a fun story, and I'm sure that's exactly what I'll
get. And I expect I'll enjoy it.

Yes! DT should go out with a bang, not a whimper! Bring on the grand finale.

Do we need the Judoon back for this finale too?

Same here! I'm also hoping he'll have a genuinely emotional climactic
regeneration scene (not too sickly and inundated with crying companions -
though I realise that looks likely) and get us all weeping buckets...

Why not, if it's only a cameo? I'm not fussed either way...

It just seems to me that last years was about as OTT and
throw-the-kitchen-sink-in as much as you can get, how can you top
Journeys End? - if you just have the same mix of every companion
turning for "The Greatest Threat the Universe has Every Known" (tm)
will be crazy - I have no problem with the emotional side - the climax
to Parting of the Ways was great as was the end of Doomsday and Girl
in the Fireplace is one of my favorite stories but these end of term
blow outs are just ridiculous.

[and if the Daleks turn up yet again I will be *seriously* pissed off
- have the production team ever heard of the word overuse?]
