Thanks for the review. For those of us in the US and/or those who've not
seen the ad in the latest DWM, could you give us the phone number? Do
you know if they have a website?

I met with Mal, the owner of Media Collectables last Saturday. There will
be a website coming up very shortly to advertise the products. There's also
some excellent MK1 Cybermen from Tenth Planet...the best I've ever seen and
the detail is superb. Also there will be some Dalek Scenery and ramps etc in
order to re-create a little Dalek diarama. All very TV21 like.
I also thought the Emperor Dalek was a little too short....I don't know
about modifying a Rolykin though as the moulding on the skirt balls
(especially at the rear) is very undefined. I think I'd beef up the base a
bit using a little artistic licence.
Mal is currently chasing the licence to produce Movie Daleks as well, as
this is held not by the BBC but by Canal Plus the French Video company who
own the rights to the two films.
I expect we'll be seeing rather a lot od Media Collectables in the near
future....
I'll post web site address when it's on-line...some animated graphic
problems are holding things up...
Dave
I should hope so. We (that is Joe Nagle and I) spent many an evening
in the pub picking faults in Media Collectables prototypes to try and
get them as accurate as possible.

The intention, I believe, is that you don't take the Dalek out of the
hoverbout.

I had nothing to do with this one (having sadly not read the TV21
comics).

I've written blurbs for the packaging of forthcoming Special Weapons
Dalek and "Evil" style emperor, but lord knows when they'll be
available. They also had plans to make the Dark Dimension Special
Weapons Dalek, although I'm not sure if they managed to track down
designed Alan Marshall(?) and get his permission. Lots of stuff in the
pipeline though!
Mike
As odd as it seems, the Emperor Dalek seen in the TV21 strips and the
original annuals is definately shorter than the standard Daleks, as I
noticed while re-reading my copy of the collected strips yesterday.
However, the Emperor Dalek drawn by Lee Sullivan and seen in "Nemesis of
the Daleks" and "Emperor of the Daleks", though based on the TV21
Emperor, is definately the same height as it's fellows, and possibly
would have been a better choice for the model. I'll with-hold judgment
until I get my models.
