I may be mistaken but I think he wrote a Dr. Who audio drama.

Yup - The Roof of the World, out in July.

As for Rigelford's unpopularity, well he's made up quotes, gotton story
facts wrong and skipped Season 18 in "The Doctors: Thirty Years of TIme
Travel"...

Author on trial over alleged photo theft

ONE of Britain's foremost experts on Dr Who appeared in court on
Thursday
accused of stealing more than 56,000 photographs from the Daily Mail
picture
library.

Adrian Rigelsford, 33, of Laws Crescent, Brampton, Huntingdon, is
alleged to
have stolen the images, many of them with historic value, to sell to a
central London memorabilia shop.

It is claimed he netted up to £75,000 over an eight-month period.

Rigelsford had access to the Associated Newspapers' archive in
Kensington,
west London, while researching books.

He is the author of at least six books on Dr Who, the cult science
fiction
series Blake's 7, Are You Being Served? and the Carry On film series.

Rigelsford has written his own sci-fi screenplay and has had bit parts
in
two James Bond films. He is accused of theft between January 1994 and
July
10, 2002 of a quantity of photographs belonging to Associated
Newspapers.

The bespectacled, bearded author, who appeared at Blackfriars Crown
Court
dressed in a dark blue suit, a striped tie and a black shirt, spoke
only to
confirm his name during a 15-minute hearing.

He was to have entered a plea to the theft charge but his ill health
meant
the hearing was put back to June 20 on medical grounds.

Defence counsel Lauren Soertsz said that Rigelsford had a stroke
shortly
after he was arrested on August 28 last year.

He now has an appointment to see a consultant neurologist at
Addenbrooke's
hospital in Cambridge on June 3.

Judge Patricia Knowles granted Rigelsford unconditional bail.

Why don't you go to
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/low/england/cambridgeshire/3839733.stm and
read the story for yourself? To my mind, he is the worst kind of
thief. People who steal from libraries and archives are stealing from
everyone present and future.

Looks like he wasn't too honest here either. From a very reliable source he
was working as normal as a researcher at the beginning of September rather a
hard thing to achieve if you had a stroke.

It's quoted from and summarized in THE nTH DOCTOR.

Call it a fantasy with no basis in reality, but I'd love to see Big Finish
attempt an adaptation of The Dark Dimension or The Jewels of Time (Denny
Martin Flinn's aborted Who film script) for their audio line. It's a dream,
but it's my dream. :)

Yes well nicking from a library has to rank as a pretty poor thing to do -
but is it me or does the guy look about 50 ? Shame I did glance through the
story in the Nth doctor and liked the concept - obviously the bbc so
destroyed him thathe turned to crime !

Cheers but I have that - I just hoped there was a proper copy knocking about

it is to get tom involved i'm not that suprised - maybe it can be re-written
for Chris ?

Obviously the script would have to be reworked in some manner. What was
written for film won't work without changes for an audio format. Given the
cameo roles the fifth and sixth Doctors had in the script, I believe that
their roles would need to be expanded to some degree. In addition, the
story itself would need to be restructured somewhat to accommodate the
cliffhanger-episodic format which the original script wouldn't have had.

THE DARK DIMENSION would take some work to "fit" as an audio, and as a
consequence it wouldn't necessarily be the fourth Doctor story that the
original script seems to have been. If Big Finish isn't interested, so be
it.

I recall a copy of the script going on eBay a year or two ago for
