Season Two:
13 colour episodes
Starring Paul McGann as the Doctor
Sarah Michelle Gellar as Sam Jones
Rupert Booth as Fitz Kreiner (from 'The Taint' onwards)
'Enemy of the Daleks' - Guest stars (vague memory of someone here, but I
can't quite put my finger on it)
'Dreamstone Moon' - Guest stars ?
'Seeing I' - Guest stars ? (It was that guy in 'Remembrance of the Daleks'
who played Dr. Akalu, wasn't it?)
'Option Lock' - Guest stars: Ian Richardson as Norton Silver. (Wasn't
Penelope the actress who played Brittas' wife in 'The Brittas Empire'?)
'The Scarlet Empress' - Guest stars: Patricia Routledge as Iris Wildthyme.
'The Taint' - Guest stars: Hugh Laurie as Dr. Charles Roley, Jo Brand as
Maria Bulwell, Ian McShane as Captain Davydd Watson.
'Demontage' - Guest stars ? (I have a vague feeling Richard Griffiths was in
this one)
'Revolution Man' - Guest stars: Liam Gallagher as Ed Hill
'Dominion' - Guest stars ? (Bugger, I _know_ I've seen Kirsten before...)
'Unnatural History' - Guest stars: Sean Connery as Professor Daniel Joyce
'Autumn Mist' - Guest stars ? (Sorry, DM. I've gone completely blank here.)
'Interference' - two episodes. Guest stars: Colin Baker as the Doctor,
Bonnie Langford as Mel, Paterson Joseph as Guest, Alex Kingston as
Compassion.
I'm having some trouble remembering who else guest-starred in the season.
(My VCR was ......'broken' all through it. Fuck.)
I've got everyone in 'The Taint' down. Can anyone help out with the others?
Imran Inayat
-Some 'so _who_ was that again?' guy
Sorry - only read 4 and a bit EDAs but I thought I'd put my forpenneth in
because I'm in a phase of trying to imagine real people in the roles:
Vampire Science : Caroline - Daphne Ashbrooke
The Bodysnatchers : Litefoot - Trevor Baxendale -obviously. Damn - I've
just realised it's been ages since I read these and now I can't remember who
I mentally cast.
Genocide : Jo's wheelchair friend's friend - Caroline Quentin
Jo - Katy Manning
Trac - hell what are the horses called, it's gone
completely - but anyway, I couldn't imagine them as anything but Nimon -
sorry Paul.
War of the Daleks - Ayaka - Melinda Messenger (she's blonde - okay)
Loran - Brad Pitt
Balatan - Fred from Coronation Street - one
who was in the Visitation for about 5 minutes before being shot by the
android.
What's the woman who fancies the Doc from the
Quetzel called - Catherine Zeta-Jones
Delani - It was Marcus Gilbert until he got
described as having white hair.
Cathbad - Adam Rickett
Davros - Terry Molloy
Continue it as much as you want -- that first one was fab!
>'Seeing I' - Guest stars ? (It was that guy in 'Remembrance of the Daleks'
>who played Dr. Akalu, wasn't it?)
It's that guy who I keep mistaking for Avery Brooks. :-) (Though I think
Avery himself stepped in for some of the scenes when I was writing them.)
I'm surprised no one's commented on Rupert Booth's guest shot as Paul in
"Seeing I" -- presumably this is where the producers noticed him, so they
later offered him the part of Fitz...
>'Unnatural History' - Guest stars: Sean Connery as Professor Daniel Joyce
And how could you forget David Warner as the unnaturalist?
Regards,
Jon Blum

Thanks, Jon. <Big, happy grin>

Oh, of _course_! _Now_ I remember; they said at the time they were doing a
'Peter Purves'. I'd forgotten what they meant.... Adds a whole new layer to
'The Taint' and 'Unnatural History', now I come to think of it.....

AARRRGGHHH!!! I could kick myself. _He's_ Griffin and I didn't catch
on...... <whimpers>.
I know Kyra from somewhere......It'll come to me, give me a minute. AC
Chapin, maybe? Could be, but she's a bit young for the role.....

Nah. Sam's from London, for a start.
> Rupert Booth as Fitz Kreiner (from 'The Taint' onwards)
Robert Carlyle according to Steve Cole, and Jason Carter as far as I'm
concerned

Legacy of the Daleks?

NO! Jon Glover

Julie T Wallace

Maybe

Brian Blessed as Bigdog, I suspect

Bruce Willis or Jerry Doyle

Hey, if Nicola Bryant can do an American accent for a full season, then you
could have an American doing a London accent for a full season.
I wouldn't pick Sarah Michelle Gellar, though. Kirsten Dunst, maybe, or
Leelee Sobieski.

Unfortunately at the SEEING I read-through, Dr. Akalu often ended up
sounding like Riff-Raff when I portrayed him. >:->

Didn't Inayat say something about Sam being from L.A. in this series?
I like the idea, personally.
But even then it wouldn't work, because SMG's already played the part
of Beatrice, and we all know how many fans would cry foul if Sam were
implicated to be the Doctor...

Someone suggested Paula Hunt...
And she's a bit of an SF fan as well...
