Attention, this is a Zectron 2000 high security briefcase. Please do not cause
unnecessary shocks or agitations to this briefcase.
I had always thought of Press Gang when I saw that title.
Anyone else agree that Steven Moffatt should be commandeered to write for the
new series (should it ever actually occur)?

By any chance was the title of "Love and War" inspired by the
Roman elegy of Propertius (i.e., "amor armaque")?
Just wondering.

Can I just clarify to everyone Paul doesn't mean by this that
Press Gang was something terrible but that "Something Terrible"
was also the title of a Press Gang episode. I mean not that I'm
paranoid or anything.
And what do you mean "just"??

Since it's highly unlikely anyone else is going to agree with
this, I think I will.
I *was* planning to pitch to the production office back in '89
but after Dr Who running for over quarter of a century I managed
to become an established children's telly writer about a week too
late.
Steven Moffat
(Just to embarrass Paul, I'm very pleased to have influenced his
choice of title because I think Love And War is the single best
Dr Who story in any medium. Or I did before I read Human Nature.)

_Highly unlikely anyone else is going to agree_ ,Mr. Moffat? On the
contrary, I very _strongly_ agree! Of course you should be commandeered to
write for the series... and I'd love to see what you would do with an
NA....
