This is reversible. Especially if the Doctor gave her enough
regeneration energy for another full regeneration. As we know,
regeneration energy is now a bigger Deus ex Machina than the sonic
screwdriver! Alex Kingston is ageing quickly before our very eyes and
so I expect River Song to merge with Doctor-Donna to make a new River
Song, who looks exactly like her mother. The details are unimportant
(like everyone else I am crap at Who fan-fiction) but I am sure River
will come back from the Library regenerated.
