In the Lady and the Tramp, which we watched last night, Tramp rescues the baby
from a visiting rat. Both my wife and her sister think that in the movie, as
they originially saw it, Tramp rescues the baby from a fire.

Are they confusing LATP with another story? I doubt there is more than 1
version of LATP.

Yep, it was a rat. There are actually a couple of Disney movies
with a fire that they might have gotten LATP confused with. Off the top
of my mind, here are some I can remember :

1. Forest fire in Bambi
2. Ship fire in The Little Mermaid
3. Castle on fire in Robin Hood
4. Fire at the end of The Lion King

Hmm... duz any1 know any others?
