The FAQ mentioned that A company named Hi-Tech Toons is working
on a film for release by Buena Vista Pictures for the summer of 1995,
tentatively titled Toy Story, about two toys and their battle over
their young master's affections.
I do a lot of work with Silicon Graphics computers and I have
a friend that works at the Orlando office of Silicon Graphics.
My SGI friend pulled some strings and got me in through the
front door of the animation studios. I talked to a nice guy
named Tad Gelia (SP?), he is the technical director at the
studios (the lead computer type). We did a walk through and
he showed me the systems and programs they use. It wasn't
much of a change from what I do. I am the lead system support
engineer for the Silicon Graphics systems at a big NASA center.
Where Disney draws cartoons, we draw rockets and things.
Anyway.... While I was there, I got to see a video tape that
sounds much like the video mentioned above. The story is about a
small boy that is sitting in a very large chair playing video
games. The boy's toy horse opens a closet door and sticks his
head out. The horse tries to get the boy's attention by walking
infront of the TV set. The boy didn't notice. The horse keeps
trying to get the boy's attention by dancing and things like
that. After he has had enough, the horse kicks the TV. The
TV and video game flie across the room and land in the closet
and the door slams shut. The boy looks at the horse like he could
kill him. The boy gets out of the chair, opens the closet door
and rolls the TV back into the room. While the boy is walking
across the room, he steps on something. He looks down and
sees a picture of himself and the horse that was taken several
years before. The boy turns around and walks back into the
closet and closes the door. Soon the boy opens the door and he
is dressed in the same cowboy outfit that he had on in the photo.
The boy and the horse run across the room the meet each other
like old friends.
I'm not sure the video I saw is the same as the one
mentioned in the FAQ, but it sounds very much the same.

That is a short that was done in Florida called "Off His Rockers"
and was released with "Honey, I Blew up the Baby". Tad
was the producer for this short.

The title is "Honey, I Blew up the Kid!", but your right, that was the short.
