D@(>>In Euro Disney, Indiana Jones et le Temple de Peril seems to be a great

D@(>I can't wait. What other structures are going up in Anaheim?

Well, one structure that went down was the Global Van Lines Building,
once nestled between the I-5 freeway and the north-east corner of
Disneyland. It was aquired some years ago and recently demolished;
rumors are that its site will someday house a 5 story administration
building for the Park.

The recently opened Anaheim Stadium aka "The Pond" is home to the
Anaheim Mighty Ducks hockey team. It is a beautiful stadium.

You asked Steve "The Surge" Soria what new attractions had been
opened since 1986 (was that when you were here last?) except Star Tours
and Splash Mountain. Those were the 2 NEW major attractions except for
Toontown which opened Jan 1993, and Roger Rabbit CarToon Spin to be
opened in Jan 1994.

There have been some smaller changes however: Sunkist I Presume, the
orange juice and snack bar in Adventureland is now the Bengal Barbeque,
serving beef and veggie skewered meals.

Sunkist Main Street is now the Blue Ribbon Bakery, it seems Sunkist is
out of the Park completely.

The Adventureland entrance arch just received a much needed rehab, which
also widened the walkway opening, to better handle FANTASMIC! and soon
Indiana Jones crowds. A while ago the Adventureland bathrooms were
expanded, and a waterfall outside was constructed.

The Disney Gallery was open some years ago concurrent with the
fashioning of the Pirates Bridge, designed to ease the crowding of the
Pirates queue line. The Gallery sells fine quality Disney art, like cels
and prints of attraction posters and original art. They periodically
have signings of collectable art by Disney Artists.

The Rubio Artists at the end of Royal Street in New Orleans Square will
do a pastel portrait while you wait, I believe they were only added a
few years ago.

The Pendleton Shop's lease in Frontierland expired, it now sells an
assortment of Indian, Western and Cowboy clothing. The Shop now has
access through to the Frontierland Traders.

In Fantasyland, the Villians' Shop is where the Briar Rose Shop used to
be; to the right past the Castle archway. It sells all manner of Disney
Villians' merchandise.

When Bank of America ceased being the sponsor of Its A Small World,
Mattel Toys picked up the sponsorship. There opened the Small World of
Toys shop at the exit of the attraction, selling Barbie Dolls, Hot
Wheels and Mattel-made Disney Items.

The Tomorrowland Terrace received a facelift, doing away with the orange
and blue Seventies look. It now has a new ceiling mural and menu signs
with an organic design in dark metallic colors; it seems to have an
Orwellian; Discoveryland flair (new New Tomorrowland? Hope, hope, hope!)

We are still waiting on the new paint job for the America Sings Building
(old Carrousel of Progress) to hide those awful red/white/blue musical
instruments. (shudder)

Mission to Mars closed without fanfare at the beginning of summer.

Well, Baloo, this turned into a bigger trip around Disneyland that I
planned! Was there anything that I missed?

Roberta! I'm surprised at you! I can see we'll have to go on another Park
trip! (gee, oh darn <G>) Anyway, Sunkist is once again a sponsor in the
Park, now it sponsors... River Belle Terrace ("Sunkist Welcomes You")
