Hi Avonlea fans.. IM not sure i like the idea of Sarah Polley leaving Avonlea. It worries me just a bit when the most talented cast member leaves a show. Apart from that I'll miss her. Im also not sure that Harmony Cramp could posssibly carry a show by herself (has she started getting lines other than "i know stay at home and look after Digger" yet?) and i dont much like the rest of them. Anyway, back to the subject. I suppose that after (4?) years, Sarah is entitled to be a bit bored and may feel like getting her career moving in other directions, but Im curious to see what directions the show will go in (is this making sense??). Anyway information on this most disturbing rumor, preferably a refutation, would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time. **************************************************************** Robert J. I always wondered where Cecily was! I DID miss her when she would suddenly
disappear!

Actually, if you review some of the recent seasons of Avonlea, Sara
wasn't a main character in plenty of the episodes. It seems to me the
series was more about Felicity and Felix and their family for awhile, then
it was about Hetty and Olivia and Jasper for awhile. I was glad to see
some Sara-centric episodes in the most recent "new" season on the Disney
Channel, especially those great two with Stockard Channing guest starring.

IMHO, if Sarah Polley leaves, they'll either just ignore her character
(and have her to guest star, like the actress playing Mrs. Lynde) and focus
on Felicity and Felix, who seem to be having twists and turns written into
their lives right now (Hetty and Olivia too, for that matter)...OR they'll
write Sara out of the stories taking place in Avonlea. I mean, surely a
rich young girl would want to go to college somewhere other than Prince
Edward Island in that day and time (or at least everyone would expect her
to!).

I am kind of glad she is leaving.. she has always come across as being
a real brat. I miss Megan Follows. I am so sorry they didn't have
her on the show.

I was also really disappointed that her character didn't appear in the
goodbye to marilla cuthbert (colleen dewhurst) episode. It would have
been a nice way to tie the movies together with the series, something
that the character of Rachel Lynde was never able to do by herself,
IMHO.

So, so long, Sarah! I won't miss you!

Whatever happened to the nice girls, like Anne of Green
Gables/Avonlea/Ingleside and Jane of Lantern Hill???

Sarah is a brat.

Hi again, To who-ever said Sara Stanly was a brat (or did you mean SP??), OK so in the first series she was just a little much for Felicity & Co but, what do you expect from a pampered, "poor little rich kid". Very few of them have manners to speak of. Besides Sara never claimed to be perfect, she just wanted people to give her a chance, and not rat her father to much. Felicity tormented her over her fathers troubles. Guess who was right! One of my greatest criticisms of the later 2 series, was that Sara had gotten just a little too nice. FElicity had gone from being someone you get even with to her best friend. The other criticism i had was that Harmony never got to do much, but thats another story. In the rather unlikely event you were talking about SP. I hope you know what your talking about, cos if you dont i wish you a quick trip to hell. Even if she was hassling Disney, thats between her and them, not us. Dont attack people who cant defend themselves. I for one will miss RTA when its gone, v.much. As for Jane of Lantern Hill. Well judging from the fact that Cecily is the Schoolteacher, I'd say she isnt born yet, and besides she is from a poorer background than Sara. Say your prayers. **************************************************************** Robert J.
