Does anyone know if the soundtrack for A Goofy Movie is available
on compact disk? The Disney Store in the mall near my house only has it on
cassette and they don't know about if its on CD. The other music stores
don't even have it.
Thanks in advance!!
Chris Mickey's #1 Fan!! :) :)
Yes, it's available on compact disc. Sitting here looking at it right
now. The number on the spine is 60862-7.
Yes, it is available on CD. I bought my copy at Musicland for $16.99.
The music is nice to listen to, and the rock songs by Powerline
are really fun and good dance music. I often have requests to listen
to the soundtrack here at work, or I have it running in the background.
I have also seen it at K-mart for a few dollars less.
Go out and buy it!

++++++++++++++++Lyrics to "A Goofy Movie" soundtrack++++++++++++++++++++
++++++++++++++++++++++Updated April 22, 1995++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Since Disney neglected to print the lyrics on the insert of the soundtrack
to "A Goofy Movie", I decided to sit down and type them in. (Not that I
don't love to listen to the soundtrack ANYWAY. =] Hope everyone enjoys it.
If you see any typos, let me know. There's a few lines I'm not sure of,
esp. in "I 2 I". So send any corrections to Doug at:

Special thanks to Melissa 'Meeko' Martin <mar...@cc.UManitoba.CA> who
pointed out several typos and blatant errors in my first posting of this
lyric file. =]
All songs copyright The Disney Company and/or Tevin Campbell, blah blah
blah, legal stuff, etc.... These lyrics are only for the enjoyment of the
fans, so don't do anything illegal with them. (?)
Just covering my bottom. =] Now on with the songs!........
----------------------
"I 2 I"
Sung by "Tevin Campell" (Powerline) and Chorus
I got myself a notion,
One I know that you'll understand.
To set the world in motion,
By reaching out for each other's hand.
Maybe we'll discover what we should have known all along.
One way or another together's where we both belong.
If we listen to each other's heart,
We'll find we're never too far apart.
And maybe love is the reason why,
For the first time ever we're seeing it eye to eye.
If a wall should come between us,
To high to climb, to hard to break through.
I know that love will lead us,
And find a way to bring me to you.
So don't be in a hurry. Think before you count us out.
You don't have to worry, I won't ever let you drown.
If we listen to each other's heart,
We'll find we're never too far apart.
And maybe love is the reason why,
For the first time ever we're seeing it eye to eye.
Chorus
If you're ever lonely, stop. You don't have to be.
After all is stolen, I'll beat a way from you to me.
Take alook inside and see!
If we listen to each other's heart,
We'll find we're never too far apart.
And maybe love is the reason why,
For the first time ever we're seeing it eye to eye.
Chorus

"After Today"
Sung by Aaron Lohr (Max) and Chorus
They've been laughin' since I can remember,
But they're not gonna laugh anymore.
No more "Maxie the geek", no more "Goof of the week",
Like before.
No more algebra tests 'till September,
No more lookin' at loosers like *him*.
No more more havin' to cheat.
No more mystery meat.
No more gym.
No more gym.
No more gym.
No more gym!
Gonna move to the mall!
Gonna live in the pool!
Gonna talk to Roxanne and not feel like a fool!
'Cause after today I'm gonna be cruzin'!
After today she'll be mine!
After today my brains will be snoozin'!
If I don't faint I'll be fine!
I've got 40 more minutes, of home economics,
Then down with the text books,
And up with the comics!
Just think of all the time I've been loosin',
Finding the right thing to say!
But things will be going my way, after today.
She looked right through me, and who could blame her?
I need a new me, plus some positive proof,
that I'm not just a goof, and
After today I'm gonna be cruzin'!
No more pep rallys to cut! Yech!
After today my brains will be snoozin'!
I'm gonna sit on my butt.
I've got less than an hour, and when this is ended,
I'll either be famous...
Or you'll be suspended!
Just think of all the time I've been loosin',
Waiting untill I could say...
Gonna be on my own, kiss the parents goodbye,
Gonna party from now 'till the end of July,
Things'll be going my way, after todaaaaaaay.....
I wish that this was the day,...... after today.

"Stand Out"
Sung by Tevin Campbell (Powerline)
Open up your eyes, take a look at me.
Get the picture fixed in your memory.
I'm driven by the rythm like the beat of a heart,
And I won't stop until I start,
To stand out.
To stand out.
Some people settle for the typical thing,
Livin' all their lives waiting in the wings.
It ain't a question of "if", just a matter of time,
Before I move to the front of the line.
Once you're watching every move that I make,
You gotta believe that I got what it takes,
To stand out, above the crowd,
Even if I gotta shout out loud.
'Till mine is the only face you'll see
Gonna stand out...
'Till ya notice me.
If the sqeeky wheel's always gettin' the grease,
I'm totally devoted to disturbing the peace.
And I'll do it all again, when I get done,
Until I become your number one.
No method to the madness, and no means of escape.
Gonna break every rule or bend them all outta shape.
It ain't a question of "how", just a matter of when,
You get the message that I'm tryin' to send.
I'm under a spell, I'm in over my head,
And you know I'm going all the way to the end,
To stand out, above the crowd,
Even if I gotta shout out loud.
'Till mine is the only face you see
Gonna stand out...
'Till ya notice me.
If I could make you stop and take a look at me instead of just,
waaaalkin byyyyyyyy.
There's nothin that I wouldn't do if it was gettin' you to notice,
I'mmmmmm aliiiiiiive.
All I need is half a chance, a second thought, a second glance,
To prove, I got whatever it takes.
It's a piece of cake.
To stand out, above the crowd,
Even if I gotta shout out loud.
'Till mine is the only face you'll see.
Gonna, stand out, staaaand out.
Stand out!
Stand out!
'Till mine is the only face you'll see.
Gonna stand out,
'Till ya notice me.

"The Open Road"
Sung by Bill Farmer (Goofy), Aaron Lohr (Max), and Chorus
Do you need a break from modern livin'?
Do you long to shed your weary load?
If your nerves are raw and your brain is fried,
Just grab a friend and take a ride,
Together, upon the road.
Come on Maxie! A-hyuck!
All in all, I'd rather have detention.
All in all, I'd rather eat a toad.
And the old man drives, like such a clutz,
That I'm about to hurl my guts,
Directly upon the open road!
There's nothin' can upset me, cause now we're on our way.
Our trusty map will guide us straight and true.
Roxanne please don't forget me, I will return someday.
Though I may be in traction when I do!
Me and Max relaxin' like the old days,
This is worse, than dragon breath and acne.
In a buddy-buddy kind of mode.
I'm so mad I think I may explode.
When I see that highway I could cry,
Y'know thats funny, so could I.
Just bein' out on the open road!
Howdy boys, is this the way to Nashville?
Watch it mac! Or you'll be gettin' towed!
I'm in no hurry to arrive, cause I'll be turning 65,
The next time I sees the open road!
Just a week of rest and relaxation,
And the odd, romantic episode!
Very odd!
Haha! And it's Cal-i-forn-i-a or bust!
Look out you dirtbags, eat my dust!
From now on, I OWN the open road!
It's me and little Maxie, my pipsqeak pioneer,
They're partners forever westward ho! Yeehah!
Could someone call a taxi, and get me outta here,
To Beverly Hills, 90210?
Oh, every day, another new adventure,
Every mile, another new ZIP code.
And the cares we had are gone for good,
And I'd go with them if I could,
I've got no strings on me,
I'm feelin' fancy free,
How wonderful to beeeeee,
On the open roooooooooad!

"Lester's Possum Park"
Sung by Kevin Quin and Chorus
Now gather 'round, my possum pals! Join the jamboree!
Come hoot and howl and holler from the heart!
And every chicken, pig, and goat will help,
By givin' out a yodel, here at Lester's Possum Park!
-Yodels-
Lester's Possum Park!
Skin that cat Beula!
Visit Beula's farm of fiddles,
Pet our varmits, taste our vittles,
Lulu's lizard gizzard pie's a work of art!
Then do a do-se-do and dance,
Like there's a possum in your pants,
Down at Lester's Possum Park!
-Yodels-
-Animal Noises-
-More Yodels-
Well don't you wanna be?
A-hangin' from a tree?
We're mighty glad to see ya,
And the parking's always freeeeeeee!
Here at Lester's
Po...
Po...
Po...
Possum Park!

"Nobody Else By You"
Sung by Bill Farmer (Goofy), Aaron Lohr (Max)
There are times when you drive me, shall we say, bananas.
And your mind is missing, no offense, a screw.
None taken.
Still whatever mess I land in, who was always understandin'?
Nobody else but you.
Oh your moodyness is now and then bewilderin'.
And your values may be, so to speak, askew.
Gezeundhiet!
Thanks!
Who deserves a hero's trophy, as we face each cat-a-stophy?
Nobody else but you.
No-booooody else but you.
It's just our luck, we're stuck together.
No-booooody else but you,
Is crazy enough to believe we'll come through.
So your jokes are all, let's face it, prehistoric.
And your music sounds like monkeys in a zoo.
But when life becomes distressin',
Who will I be S.O.S'n ?
If you're having trouble guessing, here's a clue!
Though he seems intoxicated, he's just highly animated!
And he's nobody else, but,
No-boooooody else but you,
We've turned into, a true blue duo.
Hard times, we've had a few.
Like we're thrown in the drink,
Like we're tossed outta town,
But when I start to sink,
Hey I'd rather go down,
With nobody else, but Y, O, U!!
*Kiss*
Aw dad!

Ah, but putting a disclaimer doesn't make it okay, at least not legally.
You're still publishing copyrighted materials and you're still leaving
yourself open for legal hassles.
Just to let you know. Posting a disclaimer only says that you know
you're doing something illegal, but it doesn't protect you from any legal
ramifications.
I'll confirm this and add that I found the CD at a Target store ($11.99
plus tax). I've also seen the CD at a couple of other record stores
(Tower has it for $17.99, a local record/bookstore had it for $16.99).
Look in the children's section of the store if you can't locate the
soundtrack.
The Disney Stores are apparently *not* carrying the CD (according to
someone I talked to at the Disney Store in Glendale), but they *do* have
the cassette. Most places that I've been to have been carrying the
soundtrack on cassette.

At San Gabriel, Calif. Target Store for $11.99 (regular price). But note that
sometimes the prices vary from store to store (it did for Rhythm of the
Pridelands).
