Big problem is it's raining. Hard and often. Welcome to Florida.
Only animals stupid enough to be out are the ostriches... Humans,
too.
So I'm staying in tonight. I'm having a small pour of 18yo Macallan's
to celebrate. :-) I bought a couple of strings of lights and a couple
of stockings at DD, so I think I'll decorate the room tonight in
anticipation of PiC's arrival on Sunday. (Don't tell her...)
HAhahaha...
The TV's are 1080i (or so my blu-ray player says), and it looks darned
good, so if you're a videophile, you can play hi-def through the
breakout boxes via hdmi. (Blue Man Group - How to be a megastar live
is on right now...)
Personal note to Lisa: Thanks again for the coffee cup. I was able
to get into Days of Christmas today for laughs, AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE
ANYMORE!
Bummner.
Anyway, I'm baaaack!

All you need is a fireplace and an Irish Setter...
See you tomorrow.

Yep, it sure is raining.
My wife, ever vigilant about my health, refused to let me out of the
house. Watching endless reruns of "Deadliest Catch" is no substitute for
a day at an RADP meet!
Better luck to us all tomorrow.

Supposedly yes. Thunderstorms tomorrow morning. Will not go well
with the parade taping... But rain is going to taper off. Sez the
weather guyz...

That would be nice. Minus the Setter. I'm not sure they'd appreciate
a hunting dog here at AKL...

You bet. General meet, rain or shine.

"Alice Cooper - Live At Montreux 2005" for me right now... :-)

Drinking very fine Scotch and decorating might not be the right combo. I
am sure PiC will appreciate your artistic touches.

Good thing I got it then. There were dozens of them at Halloween.
Cheers! Lisa

Lisa's right. Partner in Crime. My usual traveling partner.
I've known her since... A loooong time, anyway. (I really don't want
to say, I've forgotten when she stopped having birthdays.
Hahahaha...)
She's flying in Sunday. I get to drive out to MCO!
Keane, who's gonna get his $9.95 worth of internet access...
Could be that too! Lisa

I could have done a much better job had I had an extension cord. :-)

Pheh. Redbreast Irish Whiskey. I'll take it straight, neat, and with
a Guiness, thank you. ;)

Slainte'!
Gotta get an owner's locker for that! Very cute stockings. Is the
Eeyore for you or the PIC?

PIC = Pressurized Ion Chamber
These are used to detect changes in ambient gamma radiation due to human
activities.
We have several of them "networked" here at the RADP Pavilion to provide
evidence that our nuclear power plant is not leaking.
Please ignore that healthy "Blue Glow" that accompanies many of the
pavilion staff!

Thank you. This is the sort of crap you come up with driving 1200
miles... :-)
>Very nice!!!! I like the stack of Planter's Nuts too. Festive looking.

I have a power strip, but I purposely bought a power strip with a
short cord. The task was almost impossible until I found out you can
access an electrical outlet from the bottom shelf of the dresser.
Yeah, the nuts are my Christmas tree. Deck the halls with cans of
Planters...
Keane, who will never win a Grammy. Not that those who win 'em
deserve 'em either, but I digress...
I drive. I don't need no stinkin' owner's locker. :-)
PiC is Eeyore. Her favorite character. I like Sorcerer Mickey, my
self...

Good stuff. Been a Cooper fan ever since original NIGHTMARE tour
back in 70's (saw it Mobile, AL) - the man is highly intelligent and a
dang good golfer (as has been noted)... haven't caught the Montreux
2005 show - will check NETFLIX to see if it's available...enjoy the
meet!
Vully
Thanks, Vully.
I have the Alice disc on Blu-Ray, don't know if it's on DVD. (It
should be... They released a lot of the Montreux Jazz Festival
concerts on disc.)
It's a lot of "Oh, yeah, I remember that tune!". Of course, I was
drinking scotch that night... But I would recommend it to an Alice
fan.
And here I thought it was the Castle lights...

LOVE it!
Very festive...

Got a chance to see it in person today. I'm nominating Keane for RADP
President (or maybe Emperor). I drink his Macallan's 18 and the guy still
gives me a tremendous parting gift (those at the Varsity meet will know).
I'm thinking of asking him to be here whenever I visit again.
Lisa
I felt guilty taking any... I asked him to pick the one he liked least ;-).
Ultimately, I opted for the daytime MK shot. Gorgeous! When he starts
selling these, I want to be his agent.
I'm not touching that line with a 10 foot pole!
Michelle in Atlanta
I aspire to no office. I'm too honest. We won't talk about
integrity. But I think I can fake sincerity (I did grow up in
Chicago), so that'd actually be half the battle...
>I'm thinking of asking him to be here whenever I visit again.
I'm up for a free trip to Disneyworld *anytime*. ;-)
Reminds me of a story that I tell whenever I'm not restrained! :)
There were two guys who lived in New England. They were good friends
but highly competitive, each trying to out do the other. One had to
move away to Southern California. One day, his friend received a
letter with a picture enclosed. On the picture was his friend, in
short sleeves, leaning against a lawnmower. Written on the back of the
picture was; "This was taken on Dec. 25th!"
The friend sent back a picture of his own. This one had HIM, sitting
in a comfortable chair before a roaring fire with a Scotch in his
hands and a dog at his feet. On the back of THIS picture, the friend
wrote; "What a pity you're still mowing the grass on Christmas Day!"
Yep, I'd second that nomination. Keane is a great guy. :-)

So cute! I did hang a couple of stockings, and a few bows - but this is

I originally wanted to surround the TV with lights, but whatever wax
they put on the horizontal surfaces defeated the command strip
adhesive.
Oh, if you're ever in that room (7530), you can use the hooks I left
on the top of the dresser... :-)
