Sue's NY Eve Hilton Head (DVC) Trip - Plans

Resort: Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
Experience: Very experienced (9th stay at this resort but first since
2006)
INTRODUCTION:
This is the last of the “booked as a solo trip when I thought SB would
be in Colombia” trips, lol! Unfortunately, while I love Hilton Head
(Disney’s resort mainly), SB prefers WDW. So, had he been given a
choice he might have passed on Hilton Head but hopefully we can make
this a New Year’s Eve tradition when the holiday results in a 3-day
weekend.
Years ago Chris & I spent Christmas week here each year, so I’m fully
aware the best I can hope for in terms of temperatures are low-mid
50’s during the day and 30’s at night. As long as it’s not raining
I’ll be happy. Typically I enjoy bicycling around Hilton Head, but SB
doesn’t ride a bicycle. Hmmm. I’ll probably just rent 1 bike and
hope for some football games he’ll want to watch <g>.
We have no real plans other than seeing friends New Year’s Eve. There
are hundreds of restaurants so we’ll certainly eat well, and the beach
is beautiful for walking even though it’s too cool for sunning. I’d
prefer to ride bikes over to the beach, but I’ll leave that one
alone. Even if he wanted to try it, navigating that tunnel under the
road might be enough to make him turn around & go back to the resort,
lol! We’ll play some pool in Big Murgie’s Den, might watch the ball
drop if the resort does that for New Year’s, and will make getting a
delicious free cranberry walnut cookie each afternoon a major
priority. Mostly we’ll just be kicking back and relaxing, which
sounds really good to me!

Dottie & Joe
Friday 1/01: Beach, Bike, Eat Out, Relax
Saturday 1/02: Beach, Bike, Eat Out, Relax
Sunday 1/03: Beach, Bike, Eat Out, Relax
Monday 1/04: Drive to Gainesville
