Hi,

I am starting to plan our trip to wdw in the summer of 2006 and have a
few questions that I hope someone can help me with.

We are planning to stay onsite for 10 nights, and would like to stay at
2 different resorts for 5 nights each. Our idea is to buy the 7 day
Magic Your Way passes with parkhopper, extras and the dining option for
the entire 10 nights.

Here is my questions:

#1: We are looking at staying at The Swan and Wilderness Lodge. How do
we get our luggage from The Swan to the lodge? Will Disney take care of
it?

#2: On Disneys website it seems like I can only buy the dining option
if I also buy the tickets. If I book 5 nights at the swan, together
with the tickets and the dining option for the 5 nights, will I then be
able to book the 5 nights at wilderness lodge with the dining option,
without having to buy more tickets?

Please help me.....

Regards.

I can't answer the second question, but my understanding is that there
are no luggage transfers between Swan/Dolphin and anywhere else since
they aren't Disney owned. We tried to do that when we stayed, and the
CMs at the Disney resort and the Swan receptionist both stared at me
blankly like I was an alien!!

If you don't have your own car, easiest would be cab. They're waiting
and they shouldn't bee too expensive.

For each dining package you have to have at a least a one-day ticket. If
you have two separate packages, then you will have to buy more tickets.

The Swan/Dolphin do not participate in the MYW dining plan, so you would not
be able to purchasse it for that part of your stay.

The Swan is NOT a Disney owned hotel, even though it is on Disney property.
Disney will not take care of your luggage transfer. The Swan might. You
should call them directly and inquire.

Stop there ;-) You cannot book your 5 nights at the Swan WITH dining
option. You CAN purchase thre MYW tickets, but you cannot add-on the dining
option until you begin your stay at The Wilderness Lodge.

That depends. You MUST have as many nights left on your tickets as you have
nights at The Wilderness Lodge (5) if you want to purchase the dining plan.
If you only purchase a 7 day ticket and have used more than 2 days, you will
have to purchase additional nights. You'd be better off buying the 10 day
tickets to begin with ...the additional days cost you very little.

We just did this this past weekend. The Swan sent our luggage to Pop
Century, no problem. I'm not sure how it is going from a Disney hotel to
the Swan/Dolphin, but it is definitely not a problem going from
Swan/Dolphin to Disney.

Glo's exactly right about this.

Thanks everybody!

We have now decided to stay all 10 nights at Wilderness Lodge.

I made the reservation yesterday and was quite suprised to learn that
there were no courtyard view rooms available, only standard and wood
view .

Is wood view worth the higher price?

Standards are mostly around the interior lobby/balcony (which can be
noisy), or sometimes around the unscenic parts of the exterior (back or
roofs)--
I've only had one Woods view, but it looked out on a nice little
pine-enclosed bit of pond, with no highway showing...I may have just
lucked out, though. :)

You'd definitely do better taking a Woods view than "giving up hope" on
a Courtyard, although it's your budget/call on a Woods vs. Standard.
