Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network comparisons

The obvious head-to-head competition is Nick vs. Disney. But I've
always wondered, where does CN come in to play and how does it compare
to Nick?

I remember when the ratings were down about eight months ago, some
posters were saying CN could possibly surpass Nick in the demos and
overall ratings. Yet, presently, it seems Nick is (potentially) on its
way up. I look at CN's overall ratings and its obviously way lower
than Nick and Disney's ratings, in fact they rarely get over 2 million
viewers for any airing, except for AT and RS premieres and some
movies.

I do know that demos are what matters and that CN is geared toward the
boys demos and they own the slots. But in retrospect, how does CN
stack up to Nick and Disney - or do they even stack up at all? I've
always felt Nick had content that could compete with CN and Disney -
although I think CN and Disney are two completely different networks
and can't really be compared. Nick, OTOH, can be compared to both.
