Last weekend, we saw "Space Chimps" have a devastating impact at the box
office, and an equally strong impact with the critics:...

Joking aside :-), there's no list of this movie's budget, and I get the
impression that "Space Chimps" didn't cost all that much. So Vanguard might
come out ahead after all.

They probably would have been better doing a movie version of Captain Simian
and the Space Monkeys.

In article <g6dt6g$hiq$1...@hubcap.clemson.edu>,

A couple places list SPACE CHIMP as costing $37m. BoxOfficeMojo says
$40m.

So a $13m worldwide gross at this point isn't exactly encouraging.

So has anybody actually seen it? The trailers looked inoffensive. I
might have taken a young viewing accomplice to it.

I go by the general rule that any (non-Disney) animated with Patrick
Warburton in the voice cast is one you've already seen. -_-

(In fact, I seemed to be getting overwhelming vibes of "Ratchet & Clank"
cutscenes from the Chimps trailer, except that R&C is arguably wittier...)
