Seattle Easter Swing Results

We hope everyone had an excellent time. We had over 120 volunteers put on THE party/dance/competition for the WCS community in the NW. So far the feedback has been very positive. This is year two in our new venue and seemed to go fairly smoothly. This year SES changed its Strictly Swing Amateur Division and made it 3 Divisions  Novice, Intermediate, Advanced. Our Invitational Division Jack and Jill was something to see, the energy was great, dancing creative (and Swing), music was fun and everyone got very creative with their new SES attire, the new SES Shirts were slightly modified on the way to the floor (see the video :-) ). We had 130 registrants for our Novice Jack & Jill which makes us very happy to see so many dancers getting out and trying out the competition dance floor, we also had 8 couples in Classic which is excellent and we even had NW (Canadian) representation in both Classic and Showcase!!!. The weather kept us on our toes, warm and sunny, cold and windy and yes.... we had a little rain.

 

We are already working on SES 2009 and reviewing feedback from SES 2008. If you have any feedback (good or bad) feel free to email to SESC...@Seattlewcswing.com . Please come back and visit again next year.

 

Hotel update. We sold out our hotel block this year so watch for announcements and get your rooms booked early for next year. This year there was the added challenge of losing 50 rooms (construction) in the section closest to the ballrooms so next year we will have another 50 rooms available closer to the ballroom (I still expect it to sell out).. If your group or club would like to reserve a table email Tic...@seattlewcswing.com . There will not be as many tables next year so if you'd like a club/group table, best book it now. We need to add floor to accomodate all the dancers :-)
