I challenge your notice of the special meeting for the following reasons:
1. You are not authorized to call any meeting of the Board let alone the
general membership.
2. I believe it is required that the notice of meeting be mailed to all
members of the general membership (not just those who have an e-mail address),
and in proper form setting forth the time, place, and purpose of the meeting a
certain number of days prior to the special meeting.
3. And, there must be a meeting of the Board of Directors calling the special
meeting or recording the notification of a general member in good standing of
the club of the request for a special meeting.
Please confirm my statements above, reciting section, page and paragraph.
Until you have done that, I suggest that YOU DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THIS PLANNED
ILLEGAL MEETING.

Special Meeting
The Board of Directors of the GPSDC has authorized a Special Meeting of the
membership to be held for the purpose of nominating and electing the
unfilled position of Membership Secretary (Declined) & Sergeant at
Arms/Parliamentarian (Declined) on the upcoming 2000-2001 Board of
Directors. The Special Meeting will be held July 30, 2000 at the VFW Post
located at 4853 E. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, Arizona 85018 for additional
information contact any officer of the Board of Directors or Election
Committee Chairperson Suzanne Holmes.
