The Games Store today announced that they have acquired Comic Culture,
Lincoln's Premier Comic store.

Audrey Bown, Managing Director of The Games Store, said "We have been
looking to expand The Games Store for some time now and Comic Culture is the
perfect fit. Comics and Gaming have great crossover potential and we can
invest to continue Comic Culture's already impressive growth. We have great
plans for Comic Culture. In the next few weeks we will be adding a fully
functional website, including e-commerce, to open up Comic Culture's huge
stock of back issues to many new customers."

Karl Bown, new General Manager of Comic Culture, said "This is a great time
for Comics. The recent successes of superhero-based films such as
Spider-Man, with more on the way, have put comics high on everyone's agenda.
I am looking forward to putting Lincoln right in the centre of the Comic
world map."

The Games Store is one of the UK's leading specialist games retailers.
Established in 1979 it is celebrating its 25th birthday this year.
